Hi Angelo, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After witnessing the events of 9/11 in NYC, living close to the World Trade Center in the South Seaport neighbourhood, I made the life-changing decision to move to LA a year later, following a captivating wedding at Union Station. It was there that I fell head over heels for the city’s diverse architecture and the unique styles of homes nestled in its eclectic neighborhoods. Driving around LA became my passion, as I reveled in discovering the cultural tapestry woven into every corner, especially through the lens of food and coffee shops.
Immersing myself in the city’s different neighborhoods, I found myself drawn to the local spots, where I would sit, listen to conversations, and people-watch, my way of delving into a city I knew little about beyond what I had seen in movies and TV shows. It was during these moments that I realized the four main topics of conversation everywhere I went were “The Biz” (Movie Business), Gas prices, Traffic, and Real Estate.
Having been a real estate agent during my Junior and Senior years at Boston University, I felt a deep calling to pursue real estate in LA. Thus, my journey began in West Hollywood, where I embarked on my real estate career, driven by a passion for connecting people with their perfect homes in this vibrant and dynamic city.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey hasn’t been easy, and the struggles persist even today. It took me a significant amount of time to grasp the intricate nuances of the diverse micro markets within the city, understand the multifaceted processes involved in every real estate transaction, and achieve proficiency in navigating contracts. Above all, building trust with and among my clients was paramount.
Despite facing skepticism from many, I held steadfast to my belief in myself. I am eternally grateful to my first clients who placed their trust in me for such a crucial transaction. It is always a profound honor to be entrusted with clients’ most significant investments. Each client comes with unique needs, and we prioritize privacy and diligence in serving them.
