Hi Alessandra, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I am a co-founder and Celebrity Matchmaker at Matchmakers In The City, an old-school personal Matchmaking firm based in Beverly Hills.
11 years ago, my sister and I moved to Los Angeles to start a personal matchmaking company, and it took off. We have now grown to a team of 7 incredible Matchmakers. We have made countless matches and have so many engagements, marriages, babies, and generally wonderful couples under our belts.
I specialize in high-profile, celebrity matches, and have been the personal Matchmaker to A-listers, royalty, and a number of public figures. I was a Matchmaker behind two seasons of MTV’s Are You The One and am a frequent media guest. I am the Matchmaker on Season 13 of Bravo TV’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the go-to Celebrity Matchmaker for NBC’s Access Hollywood, was the Matchmaker on Vivica A. Fox’s former show on CBS, Face The Truth, The CW, and Fox News among others.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although a lot of people scoff at the idea of a matchmaking company with all of the dating apps out there, we have seen the core need for Matchmakers in our community, especially if someone is a professional genuinely looking for love. We have seen the major impact of dating apps on the psyche of single men and women, and it’s really challenging for them. That’s where we come in.
