Community Highlights: Meet Alchemist Films

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alchemist Films. They and their team shared their story with us below:

ALCHEMIST is a full-service production company founded in 2022 by Alscott Worrell and Rodney Hawkins Jr. after seeing the need for more production companies that champion underrepresented voices. It began after the duo worked on another project and saw how well they worked together and how collaborating with those around us could help all of us learn and grow.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our mission as an organization is to build community through film by providing clients top-quality production services while building trusted relationships that support customers through decision-making that exceeds their production goals. We provide these with a commitment to the highest quality of customer service, delivered professionally, with warmth, innovation, fun and pride in creating content.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Alscott Worrell grew up in Virginia, spending most of his adulthood in New York City and Los Angeles where he continues to hone his craft. Rodney Hawkins Jr grew up in New Jersey and relocated to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, he continues to grow his portfolio with both personal projects and projects under the co-owned production company, Alchemist.
