Coldway’s Platonic Collaboration

Today we’d like to introduce you to Coldway. Moni & her team collaborated with Coldway during the production of their webseries Platonic.

We’d love to hear a bit of your personal story and how you got to where you are today.
Well, my story isn’t a Cinderella story lol. I started at a young age with no real musical background or formal training. I think in third grade, I was in Pied Pipers (a school band for recorder flutes lol) but that’s it. But through the next few years, I would discover my initial love for music. I would hear notes and melodies in my head, yet I couldn’t translate them into production. At this point, I taught myself how to sing, produce, song-write, rap and engineer purely off of necessity and desire. Through the goods and bads of the industry, I have strived to maintain good relationships with those I come in contact with, professionally. And simply through being a good person, I have been presented several opportunities that were monumental in my career.

Can you tell us more about your work, what it represents and what you hope people will take away from it?
My main goal is to bring feeling back to music. When someone hears my music, I want them to feel every word that I am saying, rapping or singing. My music stems from the things that I know best; Love. I focus on creating the soundtrack for someones day, week, or their year. I want people to feel like they’re not alone when going through stressful situations.

Please tell us about your collaboration with Moni & Platonic.
Through a great associate of mine, I found myself with a chance to be a part of a new concept with some great people. After hearing the plot and theme of the series, I was all game for anything they were trying to do lol. I told the production team to use ANY of my music that they wanted. The music was represented well in the series and used very tasteful. looking forward to working with them again.
