Check out Tray Haggerty’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tray Haggerty.

Tray, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I am Latravian Rashun Haggerty, professionally known as Tray Haggerty. An artist, singer, and songwriter who believes that faith, patience, and perseverance are the true keys to success. I am the product of a successful mother who owns multiple businesses and an absentee father.

I have been rapping since I was 12 years old. My musical inspirations stem from artists such as Andre 3000 and Lil’ Wayne. When I was in just the 6th grade I began recording with my childhood friend Keyj. Shortly thereafter, I wrote, recorded, and released my very first song.

Although my passion was music, I knew that having an education would not only be pivotal, but also give me an edge over others in all of my future endeavors. Furthermore, I received a full-ride football scholarship where I went on to study Industrial Engineering. During my junior year in college, my mother Terris Haggerty tried to encourage me to pursue an engineering degree instead of a music career. However, during my senior year of college, she noticed my potential and began to fully support on this path to stardom. I have now taken my life and talents to sunny Los Angeles, where in just over a year’s time, I have already recorded and written songs with and for major label artists and television shows.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I create a vision, rather its with my music or visually with videos. Every song I drop was created to paint a certain picture for a certain viewer. Some viewers may not relate to that specific vision but some will. I am here to speak through all human beings through music. I also am a songwriter which helps make other individuals’ music visions come to life. The message I want to spread is that anything is possible no matter your background. If you are a kid from the hood or a rich kid from the hills, your vision can happen.

Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
I believe the biggest challenge is patience. Every artist has a point in their career when they are eager to do something or feel they need to be in a certain position. This is something every artist has to learn how to deal with. The challenge is ourselves.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
My work is everywhere and on all streaming platforms. You can also Google Tray Haggerty to learn more information.
