Today we’d like to introduce you to Sole Bovelli.
Today we’d like to introduce you to Sole Bovelli. Hi Sole, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, My name is Sole Bovelli. I have a pretty unique upbringing, being Mexican-Italian and born in the United States. I started out in the industry when I was scouted at a talent event in Phoenix, Arizona. I had auditioned on stage in front of 50 talent agencies. I’d won 3rd place as best actress and signed with CESD Talent Agency in New York soon after. I’d spent early years of my career pretty much auditioning for everything and learning how it all works. Then, I moved to Mexico and started this journey in really developing and building my craft, and I instantly became fascinated by what story-telling is truly about. I had studied with a well-respected director in Mexico (Antulio Jiménez Pons), and he mentored me until I felt I was ready to return to Los Angeles. One of the first films I had worked on was alongside Mexican actor Danny Trejo, and it was kind of like an introduction to everything for me. At the moment, I’m currently training at The Imagined Life Studios and building my career in film.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It’s definitely been a journey and I think inevitably, progress will always have its obstacles. Challenge is the best tool for growth. I believe it should always be about constantly learning and finding how else you can better yourself in however way you possibly can. I think intention and focus is everything no matter what you choose to pursue in life. My mission is to be as truthful as I can in my work and as a person. And truth is a never-dying process that has kept me grounded and inspired.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I love raw, genuine, and real stories that challenge me and move me to deeper places of discovery. I’m drawn to films that teach me something, and that get me to see the world a little differently than before in the most human way. Stories that get me outside my comfort zone are the ones I love most because I can always learn something from them. I think that’s exactly what art’s made for. I’ve fallen in love with finding myself gradually growing as a person throughout every story I touch. I want to continue doing that and be recognized for that someday. But for now, I’m still learning and getting to know who Sole is every day, and I’m enjoying the intense yet thrilling ride of it all.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I would say to know yourself. As simple as it sounds, it’s one of the most difficult challenges artists are forced to face every day. There is something so beautiful and unique within every human being. We find those qualities in the stories of others as well as in our own. Embracing all parts of who you are and what you want to say to the world has been everything for me, because I remember how hard I worked to find the importance of that. So stay kind, work hard, look for truth in everything, and keep a little magic in your soul. That’s what I live by.
