Check Out Sebastian Garcia’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sebastian Garcia.

Hi Sebastian, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been a photographer for about five years now, with an emphasis on food. Early on, I was hired at a digital agency in Los Angeles where I grew my experience and skills to get me where I am today.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. It never is but that’s the beauty of facing obstacles – you grow in places you never thought possible. I’ve been rejected from opportunities, I’ve had my camera completely die on me during a shoot, and the list goes on. A challenging road is necessary and embracing the good and the bad will help along the way.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a food photographer based in the surrounding Los Angeles area. As most photographers will tell you, we shoot a range of subjects but I’ve been passionate about food photography and the connections I’ve made along the way. I’m most proud of the work I’ve dove into without hesitation. Along the way, I’ve been able to work for Wolfgang Puck, Warner Bros., Patina Restaurant Group, just to name a few. It’s been a wild ride but I’m very grateful for everything that has come from it so far.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was very independent and creative. I’m very organized and neat as well in all my spaces so this definitely helped later on with what I do now. I have a lot of contagious energy and understanding for people. Overall, I’m very positive and I love to live that way!
