Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Elly.

Sarah, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I have always been eager to use just about any medium I could get my hands on, whether it was painting, sewing, 8mm cameras, miniatures, etc.. From an early age I knew that this meant I would have some type of career in the arts, but I never knew exactly what it would be. Fast forward and I think my work still reflects that enthusiasm for everything under the sun and that indecisiveness has worked to my advantage in many ways. I currently work professionally as an Art Director and am often hired to achieve an eclectic or hand touched look. By night I create personal work which often includes a lot of play and exploration as I fuse my practical skills with my passion for fine arts.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am a digital artist with a love for analog. All of my work brings tactile elements from our reality into the abstraction of digital. I am eclectic when it comes to my mediums. I work with an array of animation, augmented reality, digital painting, green screen and photography. From abstracted animations to reactive social posts, I am in the process of creating a body of work that is both self-expressive and culturally attuned.

What do you know now that you wished you had learned earlier?
If you feel like you have something important to make, it is.
