Check Out Venice Wong’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Venice Wong.

Venice Wong

Hi Venice, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
It all started at the age of 9 when I participated in a talent show alongside my siblings at school. Given our proficiency in various musical instruments, we eventually formed a pop-rock band. Given my passion towards singing, I naturally assumed the role of lead vocalist while also adeptly handling the bass guitar. My passion for acting led me to join the Riverside Children’s Theatre, where I secured my inaugural leading role as Wendy.

Subsequently, I caught the attention of Ivy Lundeen from Ivy Artists Management, whose extensive expertise within the entertainment industry proved instrumental in guiding us through the requisite steps to secure optimal representation. This marked the onset of a transformative journey, wherein I found myself engaged in self-tape auditions, culminating in significant commercial bookings, including renowned brands such as Polly Pocket, Jazz Ware Toys, Unicorn Academy, and more. Additionally, I ventured into print modeling, featuring in campaigns for esteemed brands such as Nike and Sketchers.

In the realm of acting, my first feature film was “Don’t Worry Darling,” directed by Olivia Wilde, wherein I portrayed one of the twin children of Gemma Chan and Chris Pine. This experience inspired me more to become an actor. And so, the list of projects goes on, including the world of voice-over acting.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In the entertainment biz, you gotta be ready for a rollercoaster ride. Some days, there are auditions left and right, while other times, it feels like crickets chirping. And let’s not forget about the rejection—there’s plenty of that too.

Being a teen, dealing with school, and all the changes that come with growing up can make it even trickier. Auditions can pop up out of nowhere, and you’ve gotta hustle to get your tape in on time. If you miss the deadline, your shot could be gone in a flash.

But here’s the deal: even if you totally nailed it, sometimes the project just isn’t the right fit. That’s why my mom always says to leave each audition behind and focus on what’s next. If you land the gig, awesome! If not, keep on swimming forward because the best is yet to come.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am thrilled to share some exciting updates from my journey in the entertainment world! Currently, I am lending my voice to the character Diva in “LOL House of Surprises” Season 2 and beyond, as well as portraying Grow Grrll in the same series. Additionally, I have the pleasure of voicing Halvey in Season 2 of Netflix’s “My Dad the Bounty Hunter.”

In a significant milestone, I am set to feature in an upcoming feature film directed by Diane Foster, which will host a red-carpet premiere event on March 21, 2024. In this project, I portray one of the children of Gavin Lee and Kelly Grant alongside my brothers. Furthermore, I have been involved in various projects with Dhar Mann Productions, including a lead role in the immensely popular video “Girl Won’t Show Face in School,” which has garnered over 22 million views on YouTube.

I am also excited to announce my involvement in the new season of Brat TV’s “Classroom Confidential,” which premiered on Feb 27, where I play the role of Natalie, the supportive best friend of Phoebe. Together, we empower our friends at Attaway Middle School and High School to overcome their fears and showcase their talents to the world. New episodes are released every Tuesdays at 12 noon PST on YouTube. You can also watch Brat TV on other streaming platforms such as Hulu, Samsung, Vizio, and Tubi. Additionally, I have contributed to 12 episodes of “Unicorn Academy,” where my bffffs and I discuss and react to each episode, including the movie. Furthermore, I have participated in five episodes of “Bakugan,” where my Bakugan companions and I offer insights and reactions to new episodes, which are all shown in YouTube.

In my free time, you can often find me performing on stage with my brothers at festivals across Southern California. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding, and I am eagerly looking forward to what the future holds in my ongoing journey in the entertainment industry.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
Los Angeles is totally rad, especially because it’s so diverse! I’m a total foodie, so I love checking out all the different eats around the city. From food trucks to fancy restaurants, LA has something for every taste bud.

But you know what bums me out? The growing number of homeless people. It’s really sad to see so many folks living on the streets. I think everyone deserves a place to call home and support to deal with mental health issues.

I hope we can find a way to fix this. It’s important for us to come together as a community and help out those who need it most. If we work together, I believe we can make LA a better place for everyone.
