Today we’d like to introduce you to Trey Young.
Hi Trey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started making beats in high school. I saved up enough money to buy an iPad and started making beats on that. Eventually, I bought a MacBook and taught myself how to make beats in Logic. A few years ago I moved from Lima to Cincinnati to continue to pursue my dreams. Next stop I’m thinking Atlanta or LA.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Never a smooth road. It’s a constant learning process. Patience is a big key. Gaining fans, making music, getting better at your craft, marketing. It all takes time, dedication, and consistency.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I go by T83 and I am a music producer. I make music of all genres. My favorite beats to make are soulful ones chopping up samples.
What are your plans for the future?
I look forward to winning Grammys, creating music with my favorite artist, buying a few ranches, and starting businesses.
