Check Out Tracy Griffiths’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy Griffiths

Hi Tracy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
After graduating from college with a BA in Journalism and beginning my career at The Daily News, I quickly realized that this path was not fulfilling my true interests. I had always been drawn to the healing arts and energy medicine, which led me to pursue a career as a massage therapist. Over time, my journey evolved as I delved into Polarity Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Trauma Resolution, and Aromatherapy.

A pivotal moment in my career occurred when I was introduced to the Raindrop Technique, an unusual method of essential oil application. This experience profoundly impacted my own health, inspiring me to share the benefits of pure, therapeutic essential oils with mainstream medical communities. As a result, I was invited to teach at prestigious institutions such as UCLA Health, Kent State University, and the City of Hope.

In addition to my work with the medical community, I authored the book Aroma Yoga®, which combines Polarity Therapy energy exercises, psychic healing, manifesting techniques, and of course essential oils. This fusion has resonated globally, leading to the book’s translation into Spanish, Japanese, German, Hungarian, and French. Over the years, I have trained hundreds of people in over 15 different countries in Aroma Yoga. We are currently celebrating the 10th anniversary of our online Aroma Yoga Teacher Training.

Today, I work with teens and young adults at Embark Behavioral Health in West LA, while maintaining a private practice. My journey from journalism to the healing arts has been transformative, and I continue to be passionate about sharing the power of energy medicine and aromatherapy with others.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has certainly not been smooth, but each challenge has shaped my journey and contributed to my growth. Transitioning from a career in journalism to the healing arts was daunting and required a leap of faith. I had to overcome self-doubt and the uncertainty of starting anew in a completely different field.

One significant struggle was gaining credibility and acceptance within the mainstream medical community. Introducing alternative healing methods like Polarity Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, and Aromatherapy to medical professionals often met with skepticism. It took persistence, evidence-based presentations, and successful outcomes to earn their trust and open doors for teaching opportunities at esteemed institutions.

Additionally, writing and publishing Aroma Yoga presented its own set of challenges. Balancing the demands of my practice while dedicating time to research, write, and promote the book was a considerable task. Ensuring the book resonated with a diverse, global audience required thoughtful adaptation and translation efforts.

Building a global presence for Aroma Yoga and training hundreds of people across over 15 countries also came with logistical
Despite these obstacles, the rewards have been immense. Seeing the profound impact of my work on individuals’ lives, fostering a global community of Aroma Yoga practitioners, and contributing to the acceptance of holistic healing methods in mainstream medicine has been incredibly fulfilling. Each struggle has reinforced my commitment to this path and the belief in the transformative power of healing arts.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in the healing arts, focusing on Polarity Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Trauma Resolution, and Aromatherapy. My work blends clinical practice and education, striving to bring holistic healing methods into mainstream healthcare.

I am particularly proud of an initiative close to my heart. In November 2023, I organized, fundraised, and led 10 other healing arts practitioners on a volunteer service trip to Maui. We provided over 180 complimentary sessions in the span of 6 days to the residents of Lahaina who tragically lost their homes in the fires of August 8, 2023. This experience was life-changing for both me and my colleagues, and it reinforced the incredible power of healing and community.

I’m also proud of my ability to serve a wide range of people at various stages of life, from infants and teens to adults and the elderly. This versatility allows me to address the unique needs of each age group, providing tailored support and healing.

What sets me apart is my ability to combine diverse healing modalities into cohesive, integrative practices that address both physical and emotional well-being. My background in journalism has honed my communication skills, enabling me to effectively convey complex concepts and foster understanding among varied audiences.

My personal journey of transformation and healing informs my work, allowing me to connect with clients and students on a deeper level. This authenticity and dedication to holistic health have helped build a trusted reputation in the field.

My work revolves around integrating holistic healing into mainstream practice, educating others, and fostering a global community dedicated to wellness. The widespread recognition and success of Aroma Yoga, along with my contributions to the medical community and my ability to serve individuals across all stages of life, are achievements I hold in the highest regard.

What’s next?
My plans for the future are to continue traveling and teaching, expanding the reach of my work even further. I recently returned from a trip to Iceland, where I was invited to come back and teach, which I’m really excited about.

One of the big changes on the horizon is introducing another body of work I do, called UZIT, to the Motion Picture Television Fund. UZIT combines Eastern healing modalities like Reiki, essential oil therapy, restorative yoga, and breath awareness to address symptoms of stress. At the Motion Picture Television Fund, I’ll be working with the staff, residents, and patients, providing relief and support through these integrative techniques.

I’m looking forward to these new opportunities to share and apply holistic healing practices in diverse settings, continuing to make a positive impact on people’s lives worldwide.
