Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My ah-ha moment really came into perspective when I took a step back and looked at my life through another lens. After a difficult surgery that left me depleted for six months, I asked myself “What do I really want to be doing with my life?” and I knew in that moment that I wanted to help others. With my intense love for makeup, skincare, and self-care, I knew I wanted to find a way to make everyone happy and healthy in their own skin. Happy skin is Healthy skin, and Healthy skin is beautiful. The way you see yourself matters, and I want everyone to be confident in their own skin; assisting them to get there has allowed me to be the best Esthetician I can be. I am so blessed to make my client’s skin dreams come true. Growing up in San Clemente, seeing the support our community has for small businesses, and now having my own in the same small town is a wonderful full-circle moment that I am lucky to experience.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Throughout my life, I have had to face impressive obstacles. I was born with a Congenital Heart defect that affects all four chambers of my heart. I have had three life-changing surgeries to mend the problem but will likely need more in the near future. Although none of that has stopped me, I have used my disability to my advantage and pivoted into activities that I can excel in and enjoy. As a child, I could not participate in recreational sports, but I enjoyed makeup and art. This passion has afforded me the skills that I use today in my business. The decision to open my skin studio was an easy one, although hard to achieve. When I first started, I was working part-time for a notable makeup brand as well as teaching Estehics at a local trade school, all the while juggling my own clientele just making ends meet. I was scheduling services around my already full plate. I knew that I could succeed with my business alone, but that was a hard leap to make, Betting on myself. I am so happy I did. The community I am creating through my business is one that I am extremely proud of. I have created in space for anyone to talk openly about their skin, goals, insecurities, and more. The relationship I have with my clients is one that I definitely cherish. I will always strive to do my best for them.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Without risk, there is no reward. If you know you can do something all you have to do is believe in yourself and take the leap. We can equate risk to that of receiving a chemical peel. You risk 3-7 days of staying indoors, away from extreme temperatures, and with the possibility of some skin peeling or flaking. Without those risks, we wouldn’t have the opportunity for refreshed, smooth, younger-looking, pigment-free skin.
