Check Out Tanja Subotic’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanja Subotic

Hi Tanja, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story embodies a shared human experience that represents a personal renaissance, one that has transformed and elevated my existence through numerous challenges and obstacles. My late teens and early adulthood were characterized by significant hardship, including abuse, which led to fear and isolation. In my quest for liberation from fear, I moved to a foreign country. This began a new chapter that continued to heal yet reflect that inner shadow I was learning to embrace as my teacher that continued to reflect throughout my journey. Later on while navigating young motherhood I grappled with a myriad of illnesses such as Lymes Disease, brain tumor, polyps, eye cancer and multiple autoimmune diseases such as hypothyroidism, anemia and much more, cast me into an eight-year cycle of redemption—emerging from darkness into light.

These years often felt burdensome, instilling a sense of unworthiness and profound sadness, overshadowed only by the joy of motherhood, which became a beacon of light amidst the darkness. This often solitary journey ignited a deep yearning within me for something greater; an elusive truth that my eyes could not see but my heart longed to understand. Ultimately, this quest led to a renaissance in my life, guiding me back to my true self and reestablishing my connection to divinity.

While the external world continued to reject me, I discovered liberation in returning to the source of divine love. I learned that the root of human suffering lies in our disconnection from our true selves and our divinity. This realization illuminated the powerful light within me—a light that reveals the path toward healing and thriving. Although my life was far from perfect, it began to transform swiftly as I aligned my energy with my true desires, attracting the mission my soul was destined to fulfill.

As my heart bloomed, I began to view life and its challenges as invitations for self-reflection and acceptance, guiding me back to the calling of my heart. I learned to operate from a place of love rather than fear, placing my trust in the graceful order of divine will—regardless of its name, whether God, Allah, or Divinity; it is a singular source of pure love, the Creator of all.

Recognizing that I was not alone and that this relationship with my higher self is the most sacred aspect of my existence, I turned my focus inward. This shift enabled me to begin painting the canvas of my life with beauty and love, unveiling the gifts within me and embracing my identity as a creator, evolving from a survivor mindset to one of empowerment. This is true renaissance. Everything I do and create is rooted in the foundation and emanation of divine love, beginning with my children and extending to my art and storytelling. Through this process, I have rediscovered the beauty and love that reflect my true essence.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My work is profoundly rooted in divinity, truth, beauty, and love, with the aim of fostering unity and harmony. As a storyteller, I strive to evoke in others the same sense of self-remembrance that I have experienced, creating opportunities to reconnect humanity to the essence of their being through the transformative lenses of creativity, art, and immersive experiences.

The collective human experience is often overshadowed by a negative narrative filled with suffering and discontent. In my own journey, I have discovered that the root cause of this malaise is a lack of true understanding of who we are and the divine power we possess. When we remain ignorant of these truths, we disconnect from our essence and the authentic power within us, leading to self-doubt and feelings of unworthiness. This void manifests as a relentless external chase for validation, driven by the absence of a meaningful connection to our true source—our spirit.

My mission is to educate and inspire, nurturing a sense of awe and wonder that humanity has largely lost. It is essential to live in wonder of life’s happenings and to understand both ourselves and our existence. This understanding is where our power lies and becomes activated. The more we are anchored in truth and spirit, the more divinely powerful we become as creators, for our energy is rooted in pure love—the greatest force of all. We are designed to create rather than merely survive, regardless of whether our creations are cupcakes or empires. Each of us holds a unique gift, and the quest of life is to discover that gift and share it with humanity. This is the essence of divine work, which also resonates universally.

Wonders of Wisdom serves as a platform to inspire, emotional and heart centered self-discovery to unveil potential, employing wisdom as its guiding principle and providing tools and experiences to engage participants. Storytelling is integral to my other venture, Go Greek Yogurt, where I expand healthy food services into an inspiring Mediterranean lifestyle brand that shares ancient wisdom on longevity and vitality, particularly from regions known for their centenarian populations.

Wonders of Wisdom brings to life the narratives of leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, missionaries, sages, and more, utilizing engaging tools that facilitate learning through connection and experience, rather than rote memorization. Here, the words of Benjamin Franklin resonate: “Tell me and I forget; teach me and I remember; involve me and I learn.”

Wonders of Wisdom not only provides tools and resources to empower individuals to become the creators of their own life stories through alignment and connection, but it also crafts bespoke offerings that capture the missions and essence of other leaders and businesses, including tailored wisdom decks and curated programs. Additionally, WOW is developing a groundbreaking platform and community that seeks to reconnect humanity with both ancient and contemporary wisdom, inspiring a collective renaissance.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up was a journey for me. I experienced a general sense of happiness as a child, but I eventually found comfort in solitude, cherishing the time spent in my room. My heart was filled with a deep appreciation for magic, fairy tales, and the joy that holidays bring. Often, I would lose myself in daydreams during class, longing to escape into new worlds. I constantly felt a pull to explore beyond the limits and boundaries of my reality, driven by an understanding that life held so much more to discover.

As someone who is sensitive and empathetic, I yearned for love and connection, especially as I navigated the turmoil of my parents’ divorce. The emotional landscape during that time was difficult to understand, and the pain I witnessed often left me feeling heartbroken and confused. My parents did their best to navigate their challenges, yet I couldn’t help but feel the weight of their suffering. In search of solace, I turned to stories, holidays, and my endless daydreams, which became my sanctuary, offering glimpses of the beauty I knew existed in the world.

Despite experiencing some hardships, I lived a life filled with moments of joy, yet there remained an unexplainable longing in my heart—a yearning I carried with me into young adulthood. It was as though my heart knew a deep truth to find the meaning of true and divine love that my mind didn’t have the means to articulate. This feeling felt like a guiding force, lingering until I began to embrace the light of truth, a process that unfolded through my own experiences with suffering unfolding a deep and eternal path to wisdom.

Creativity has always been an integral part of my identity. Although my artistic expression was stifled during my teenage years, it blossomed beautifully in my 30s. I was encouraged to dream big, and I took that lesson to heart. Additionally, I felt a deep calling to support and uplift humanity from a young age; my own experiences of compassion opened my heart to the suffering around me. Even now, I find it challenging to witness pain and negativity in the world. My earnest wish has always been for a reality filled with peace, beauty, and love.
