Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Lopez
Hi Stacy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Before starting STAUD Agency, I had a very long extensive career in both management and influencer marketing. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong work ethic. At 17, I entered college to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Business, where I quickly began my career in management. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with over 300 brands and managing teams in both Los Angeles and New York. I partnered with CEOs and business owners to design and execute targeted social media campaigns and marketing strategies that drove sales, enhanced profitability, and accelerated business growth. Throughout my career, I’ve had the chance to work with many known names within the Beauty Industry such as Kylie Jenner and her team at Kylie Cosmetics, Tom Ford, Charlotte Tilbury, Kim Kardashian and her hair stylist Jen Akins, Gwyneth Paltrow and so many more. I’ve truly seen how brands have fluctuated in working with influencers since the beginning- It has changed so much and is still constantly changing. My experience in brand marketing and team leadership has led me to where I am today. I’ve always been naturally drawn to connecting with people whether it be socially or work related. I knew that starting STAUD Agency would come naturally to me because the social aspect of building a brand and engaging with clients and brand partners is something I’ve always loved.
Q: How did you come up with the idea for your business?
A: I get this question frequently, “STAUD” is actually mine and Andria’s name combined. STAUD Agency came together so naturally for us—it felt like we just dove right in. From the start, we knew exactly which roles each of us would take on, based on our career backgrounds. We were like two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly—both in business and friendship. We officially launched STAUD Agency in June 2023, while living in Los Angeles, California. With our strong network of talent, influencers, and creators, along with connections to brands and a talented pool of potential team members, we were able to bring it all together. The growth has been rapid and exciting! Today, we not only serve clients across Los Angeles, but also globally, with clients in Spain, Australia, Canada, Miami, and throughout Europe.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building STAUD Agency has been an incredible journey, but like any entrepreneurial venture, it hasn’t been without its obstacles. One of the initial hurdles we faced was navigating the highly competitive space of influencer marketing. There’s a lot of competition in the industry, and it took time to carve out a unique position for ourselves. Another challenge early on was scaling the business while maintaining the personal, hands-on service we’re known for. As we grew, we needed to bring in the right people who shared our vision, values, and commitment to quality, which took time and careful thought. That said, each obstacle has been a valuable lesson that’s only strengthened our foundation. We’ve learned to be adaptable, stay focused on our long-term goals, and continue nurturing the meaningful relationships that have been central to our growth. Looking back, it’s been a fulfilling journey, and the rewards far outweigh the challenges.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My business partner, Andria, and I founded STAUD Agency in June 2023, with a vision to offer a full spectrum of services including content creation, social media management, creative direction, photoshoots, PR & events, and brand partnerships. What sets us apart is our personalized approach—we work closely with each client to craft tailored strategies that align with their long-term goals. What I’m most proud of is the strong, meaningful relationships we’ve cultivated—not just with our clients and brand partners, but also with our dedicated team. The agency has had the privilege of partnering with some of the most iconic brands in the industry, including Playboy, Snapchat, Twitch, Amazon, SHEIN, Pretty Little Thing, Ulta Beauty, Honey Birdette, Charlotte Tilbury, Maelys Beauty, NARS Cosmetics, Naked Sundays, Simmi London, Tom Ford, Thriller Records, Fearless Records, Fashion Nova, Hustler, Mad Rabbit and Journeys, to name just a few. The agency’s growth has been extraordinary, and what’s even more fulfilling is how organic and seamless the process has felt for Andria and myself. Together, we’ve built something truly special.
What’s next?
Andria and I are currently working on several exciting business ventures behind the scenes, including a tech platform. While we’re keeping details under wraps for now, we’ll be making official announcements in the coming year with more to reveal- so stay tuned!
Q: How do you think about risk? What role has risks played in your life/career?
A: I think my whole career path has been a risk- every job I’ve changed or left I’ve always left with more experience and growth. I have definitely felt stuck in a career before, so my advice would be to keep going and never get too comfortable. I do believe in that saying, “Your comfort zone will kill you.” and it’s true. You have to take that risk, because if you don’t, someone else less skilled will.
Q: What habits do you feel helped you succeed?
A: I absolutely think that being successful has stemmed from being social, being direct and knowing exactly what I want in a career and in my personal life. Every decision I make is methodical, carefully considered, and made thinking of the impact it’s going to have on other people and the company. The way you present yourself- your image, brand, and reputation are everything, and the ability you have in connecting with people can open so many doors.
Q: What’s the most important factor behind your success? The success of the brand?
A: The most important factors are our clients, our employees and our brand partners. Developing a relationship and consistent communication with each of them is key to growing the business. Celebrate the wins- even the smallest wins with your employees; they notice everything you do as a leader.
Q: What’s the most important lesson your business has taught you?
A: Success in this industry requires constant adaption. The space is shifting so rapidly, and staying ahead means continuously growing, learning, and adapting to new trends. I’ve seen many influencers and creators rise to fame almost overnight. It’s an incredible feeling when the spotlight hits, but what sets the long-term successes apart is their ability to keep that momentum going. Too often, people peak and then coast, relying on their initial success until it fades. The smart ones, however, understand that the real key to sustained success lies in ongoing growth. They don’t let the initial rush of recognition fade away. Instead, they double down on learning, become more strategically focused, and ensure they remain relevant and continue to grow.
What is one piece of conventional advise that you disagree with?
A: Oh!- this is a good question. The conventional advice of “Get a college degree to be successful.” Although I went to college right after high school, I’ve seen what the internet has become in the last decade. You can learn so much from mentors, reading, researching and meeting the right people. Everything I’ve learned in my career hasn’t always stemmed from college- It was truly trial and error and figuring it out! I believe the only way that you’re going to learn, is to stop waiting for the “perfect time” and throw yourself into it. I’ve seen so many people with very successful businesses that have never stepped foot on a college campus in their life.
