Check Out Samy Omari’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samy Omari

Hi Samy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I Started singing and taking voice lessons when I was 14 years old. Born and raised in Orlando, Florida and moved to LA 5 years ago. My experience started with live performances through out the US opening for another group and performing half time shows at arenas in Orlando. That set my career as an artist on fire and allowed me the opportunity to move to LA. Music driven, I’ve always found comfort in writing in terms of expressing my feelings. Fast forward I just released my second new single in a new lineup of music that is pop and r&b based. I’ve been singing and dancing most of my life and wanted to created a sound that embodies that through my music. I was able to connect with Richy Jackson (lady gaga’s creative director) and he has been there to help me tap into the pop scene creatively through dancing. Working on dance and singing I’m creating my idea of what a male pop star should be. I want to bring sexy back to the genre and entertain.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being an artist and having that break out moment in your career is super hard and having the right team behind you is sometimes even more difficult. I would say it’s the build up and selecting and meeting the right people to create a dream team. I’ve had my mishaps along the way but god willing with my team now and the music I’m currently releasing and working on is finally where I want it to be. it’s all coming together.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in creating pop songs and am particularly proud of blending R&B top lines with cool pop and fusion beats. Performing and entertaining is where I really get a kick—I love bringing my music to life on stage! I feel like the male pop scene is fading and I want to bring new life to it.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was a really adventurous kid, always flipping and tumbling around the house. I ended up with my fair share of bumps and bruises, but I was super outgoing and had a blast. I would annoy my parents singing all day so they got me a vocal coach to occupy my time. After one session I was hooked to music.
