Today we’d like to introduce you to Rashad Stribling
Hi Rashad , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Well I’m born and raised in Los Angeles, CA (West Adams District) to be exact. I started with a leap
Of faith and trusting God in my journey of becoming a food critic/content creator. I always documented restaurants I had eaten at since 2011. Rather I took pictures or videos, I just loved how happy great food made me feel and still does! I believe you tell a piece of your life story in the food you create.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing in life worth having is a smooth road. It’s always going to be highs in lows but you have to stay “ten toes down” as the great Nipsey Hussle would say. And you have to keep grinding and never give up until you obtain your goals. I’ve had financial struggles, my mental health sometimes wasn’t in the best place but I always leaned on my faith to push through it! Because anything God has planned for you, no one can ever stop!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Well my full time job is I work in the movie industry as a union Grip. I’m a food content creator part time and I also do sports podcasting as well! What separates me is I’m a jack of all trades, with an authentic personality and a faith so strong, that I know I can do anything in this life I truly put my mind to! I’m family oriented first and for most, I’m a Boise state University graduate, so education is important to me. I love supporting small business restaurant owners and telling their stories through my food content.
What are your plans for the future?
Well my plans are to grow my food content, to where I’m
Traveling around the country and eventually the world. Telling restaurant owners stories and showing the love they put into their food!
