Check Out Rania Maisonneuve’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rania Maisonneuve.

Hi Rania, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My whole life I always wanted to get into acting, commercial modeling and to be a social media influencer as well. As I got older, that’s when I started to take it all very serious. I started taking acting lessons, auditioning, going to events meeting people, networking, and just being myself but being from a very small city it isn’t easy trying to “make it” in the industry but when you put a lot of hard work into something that you believe in. You can make anything possible.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Throughout my journey, I would say that it hasn’t been easy, but I have also learned a lot through my journey. Being from a very small city and also being 5’4 trying to “make it” in the industry as an actress and model isn’t easy but I’m up for the challenge. I would hear a lot of no’s more than a yes. A lot of rejections more than getting an acceptance but I’ve learned a lot through the no’s and rejections, and it has made me stronger as a person and that I should still not give up because maybe it just isn’t my time yet and one day I’ll get a yes. So, in the meantime, I just took matters into my own hands and try to do some local work in my area and work with some people that I have met and would also do some photo shoots so that I can grow my portfolio and to gain some experience as well.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What I’m most proud of about myself is that regardless of all the rejection and no’s that I have gotten I still haven’t gave up and I have seen myself grown a lot because the younger me probably wouldn’t even be able to handle the amount of rejection that I have gotten this passed year from trying to get signed by agents or from doing auditions.

What sets me apart from others is my work ethic and my unique personality. I like putting in the extra work and going the extra mile.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In 5-10 years in the industry, I hope to see myself grow as a model and to hopefully get booked for more modeling/acting and to gain a lot more experience and to hopefully get that one “Yes” that could possibly be a big break for me.
