Check Out Peyton Freestone’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Peyton Freestone.

Hi Peyton, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
As a small town girl from the Midwest, I sure did have dreams of making it to LA, the city where dreams come true. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be in front of the camera. I told my parents from about 3 years old that I wanted to be a famous actress. I always loved performing for my family, friends, or really anyone that would watch 🙂 I modeled as a child for a family friend’s photography company, and really grew my relationship with the camera. I ended up on the East Coast for college, as my parents wanted me to take up something “more serious” … but low and behold… I couldn’t stay away from the camera again. I ended up doing some photoshoots with some friends while I was in school and refound my love for the arts. I decided that I needed to take it upon myself to get myself into some rooms in LA, while I was still a student, so I took some trips to LA during my senior year of college that set me up really well for when I graduated and officially moved to LA in August of 2018. Once I came out to LA, the real journey began… I started doing numerous photoshoots with different photographers, which unbeknownst to me would change my life in more ways than one. In January of 2019, I went from 20k followers on Instagram to 250k followers by June 2019. This led to so many opportunities. However, in those same 6 months, I did about 25 music videos and campaigns, as well as walked in my very first fashion show… so the ball was rolling. Following that, my instagram and fan base continued to grow. Once COVID hit in 2020, I was building an array of partnerships with brands of all sorts, from JUST Water to PUMA to PLT to MARIO BADESCU and more. By the end of 2020, I had been contacted for a few reality shows. So by February of 2021, I was interviewing for a few different shows. And by the end of March, I had officially been cast for Double Shot of Love Season 3 on MTV. We filmed all of April and about half of May. That was the most beautiful, chaotic roller coaster I’d ever been on at that point of my life. Then the show came out in September of that year and my life changed again. It was an outpouring of love, support, and fans with whom I still speak with regularly today. My social media blew up all over again. I finally signed with my first PR manager and was partnering with even more brands than I could fathom. I was doing massive campaigns and had become the face of 3 clothing brands. So around the beginning of 2022, as my fan base grew, I decided to start my own clothing line called “Hourglass Collection.” The aim of my brand is to make women of every body type feel beautiful. I specifically picked fabrics and designs to compliment all body type. (Many of the drops have completely sold out within a week of the drop, but I still have some pieces left from previous drops that are now discounted to prepare for upcoming drops.) In addition to my clothing line, at the start of 2022, I was really itching to go back to my first love…acting. After a wonderful recommendation, I finally found my home at The Howard Fine Acting Studio in Los Angeles, which completely changed my life and who I am as a person and artist. I have learned so much not only about acting but also about myself in my time spent there. I took a small break from my beloved acting studio, as… (you all are hearing this before anyone else!) SURPRISE!… I am currently in London studying at THE Royal Academy of Dramatic Art… it still shocks me every time I say it. Yes, you heard that right, I went out on a limb and auditioned for my absolute dream drama school and thanks to God himself, I was one of eleven that were accepted. I am currently overseas growing my craft to another level. So once again, the journey continues to make that little 3 year old’s dream, of becoming a famous actress, come true.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Choosing the path of art is not for the weak. This industry is brutal, but having passion, drive, and God has really helped me through the toughest of times. There have been countless campaigns, photoshoots, tv shows, films, and other opportunities that I really wanted and didn’t get. And no one tells you how not nice it feels when you really connect with a project and it goes to someone else. Which is why I started to look at auditions as my single opportunity to live as that character, and if I get the pleasure of playing them for longer than that is just the cherry on top. Take every opportunity to show the Casting Director or Director how YOU and only YOU can bring this character to life. Not the idea of the character, but YOU through the character.
There are also so many days where I struggled because I doubted myself, my ability, my talent, whether I belong in this industry, or will even make it… but its in your heart, its for you, and one thing I know is that is it for ME! So for those of you that feel this fire burning passion for the arts, as I do… don’t give up!! Something I have learned is that all of those ‘NOs’ make the ‘YES’s so much sweeter. So for anyone experiencing challenges, setbacks, or obstacles… just remember to keep going! It will all be worth it in one day… mark my word 🙂

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an actress, model, and influencer. I have done a few short films, movies, and mobile episodes. One of my short films went through the Short Film Circuit in 2023, and got a lot of praise, I hope for everyone to see that soon! I am currently a student at RADA, The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, which all the greatest actors went to… that is something I am insanely proud of myself for. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity and incredibly hard to get into.
I also modeled for huge brands and partnered with other brands for social media campaigns. I am also very proud that I had a huge clothing campaign on the biggest billboard in Times Square in December 2022. It was an absolute dream come true. It was on my vision board for a few years and it came to life! All are things to soak in and will lead to the next. Be grateful for it all.
The thing that sets me apart of others is my drive, passion, belief in myself, and having God on my side. I put in a lot of work and I can sit here and give myself the credit but it all comes down to God and the opportunities he has lined up in my path. So thank you Jesus!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is going to Summer Camp every summer for about 8 years. It taught me so much about creativity, team work, independence, my love of the outdoors, sports, art, and so much more. I looked forward to it so much. We would camp, play sports, make popcorn on the fire, do obstacle courses, go fishing/boating, do crafts and other art, and play endless games. I absolutely loved it and I know it helped shape the very expressive, imaginative story teller that I am at my core. I recommend this for any parent, it is the best experience of my childhood. Thanks Mom & Dad 🙂
