Today we’d like to introduce you to Parisa Moayedi.
Hi Parisa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Being born in Iran and relocating to the United States at the age of three marked a significant turning point in my life. I firmly believe that my current privileges and identity would have been markedly different had I remained in Iran. The freedom I cherish in my present environment allows me to express myself without fear of repercussion, a liberty that I deeply appreciate. Moreover, my role as a Mindset Coach and Somatic Healer serves not only as a personal pursuit but also as a tribute to my ancestors and family in Iran who were not afforded the same opportunities for freedom, self-expression and empowerment. Helping individuals learn to heal themselves is a noble cause that I will always strive to pursue.
Since 2018, the establishment and continued development of my coaching business, DIVINE CHAPTERS LLC, were aspirations I once dismissed as unattainable due to self-doubt. While I have always possessed an entrepreneurial spirit, my upbringing instilled in me the traditional path of pursuing higher education and securing a stable career, which I successfully achieved. It is important to note that there is no fault in pursuing academic achievements and obtaining degrees, as each individual’s journey is unique. With over 15 years of professional experience spanning both public and private sectors as a graphic designer, brand strategist, creative director, and marketing specialist across diverse industries such as real estate, fundraising, education, energy, art, and fashion, my career has been multifaceted.
Driven by a desire for personal growth and a natural inclination towards aiding others, I have long been cognizant of my spiritual gifts as an intuitive and empath. A near-death experience at a young age, where I found myself surrounded by divine angels after a drowning incident, solidified my unwavering belief in a higher power. This profound encounter, vivid in my memory, reinforced my connection to the divine realm, emphasizing the notion that we are never alone and always cherished.
At the age of 14, I met a Buddhist Monk whose mentorship was instrumental in fostering my self-worth and recognizing my talents. In my twenties, during a pivotal moment of uncertainty, his words – “Believe in Yourself” – resonated deeply within me, prompting a transformative shift in perspective. Subsequently, in my thirties, I confronted a prolonged medical ordeal stemming from a toxic relationship, a period marked by three misdiagnoses and despair. Through a meticulous healing journey spanning four years, encompassing lifestyle adjustments, nutritional shifts, and deep introspection into ancestral healing and shadow work, I navigated towards physical, mental, and spiritual restoration. This process illuminated the interconnectedness of our experiences with generational trauma, leading me to consciously break the cycle of unresolved pain within my lineage.
Guided by mentors and spiritual teachers across the globe I have walked the healing path to now show others how to do the same. As a mindset coach and somatic healer, I show people how to heal through breathwork, meditation and creating a practical wellness plan for their lifestyle through the mind, body and soul connection using my exclusive EMPOWER method. I see and honor the “DIVINE CHAPTER” in each (soul) person that I meet with compassion and understanding. Knowing that whether in life or business, we are in a divine chapter in our lives that is serving our highest good and creating our present and future experience.
If you were to have told me I would have been doing this when I was daydreaming many years ago I would have ran away – so this is why it is important to recognize that when a dream has been placed in your heart and it belongs to you. It is your birthright to live out your dreams and purpose in this lifetime. And if anything else: Believe in Yourself.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Yes and no. I have always said first and foremost that this has not been the easiest path, but is has been the most rewarding. As far as understanding and discovering that being in the health and wellness space as a mindset coach and somatic healer is my calling that part has been absolutely magical. Learning through my certifications and meeting the most amazing people who have helped me along the way has been such a blessing. However, the struggles have been very challenging as someone coming into a brand new industry later in life. I am a firm believer in God and the power of prayer so I have always prayed and listened to my intuition when the struggles became uncomfortable and I wanted to quit so many times. Some of the things no one tells you as a business owner is that you wear multiple hats and the pressure can become overwhelming.
One of the biggest struggles I faced is imposter syndrome and how initially I felt like I was not ready enough or had enough certifications. Doubt and fear are so detrimental to anyone embarking on a new venture of any kind. I believe we all have what it takes to succeed in anything we want to do in life and the key is to believe in yourself. This issue of feeling worthy and being enough or not came up quite a bit for me throughout my journey and it has been a humbling experience given all the other factors that play into as well. One of the biggest lessons I learned was to make sure that when you are building a brand or business of any kind to make sure you have the right kind of people around you who believe in your vision and your goals. People who want to see you win and will support your dreams no matter how big or small. The type of company will also contribute to your downfall or success. I also learned that the hard way.
The road so far is looking much more clear as I have made intentional decisions in who I choose to have around me and who I share my dreams with.
There is a lot of energy that plays a huge part in all of this. Believing in yourself and the people whom you choose to surround yourself with. It is all connected. The journey has taught me the importance of aligning my inner energy with my external environment. When your inner beliefs and the people around you are in harmony, it creates a powerful synergy that propels you forward. It’s as if the universe conspires to help you achieve your dreams.
I also found that self-care is paramount. In a field dedicated to health and wellness, it’s easy to forget to apply those principles to oneself. I had to remind myself that taking time to recharge and nurture my own well-being is not a luxury but a necessity. This not only made me more effective in my work but also more compassionate and present for my clients.
Another profound realization was the impact of gratitude. Taking moments each day to appreciate the small victories and the support network around me instilled a sense of contentment and motivation. Gratitude shifted my perspective from focusing on obstacles to celebrating progress, no matter how incremental.
As I continue to navigate this path, I am constantly reminded that this journey is not just about professional growth but also personal evolution. Every step, whether challenging or rewarding, contributes to a richer, more meaningful life. And for that, I am endlessly grateful.

My dedication, ability to see through masks with compassion, and patience in holding space for others during challenging times set me apart. I support each client and ensure they understand that I am there for them, but they must put in the effort to succeed. My exclusive 7-week EMPOWER method strategy has been a game changer and has made a significant impact on those who have experienced it. Witnessing their transformations has reaffirmed my belief in the power of resilience and the human spirit. The EMPOWER method is not just a program; it is a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and growth. Each week, we delve into different aspects of personal development, from self-awareness and goal setting to overcoming fears and building sustainable habits.
By the end of the seven weeks, clients often express a newfound sense of confidence and purpose. They have not only learned to navigate their own lives with more clarity but have also built a supportive community with fellow participants. This shared experience creates a bond that extends beyond the duration of the program, providing ongoing encouragement and inspiration.
Seeing these women step into their power and create the lives they truly desire is the ultimate reward. It is a reminder that, no matter how daunting the journey may seem, with the right support and strategies, anyone can overcome their obstacles and thrive.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my most cherished childhood memories is when my mom used to take us to the local library. To be honest, home wasn’t a safe place due to the violence in our family caused by my father. My childhood was far from pleasant; it was filled with trauma and pain, with fewer good memories than bad. The library became my sanctuary, a place of solace where I found inspiration in fiction and non-fiction novels, beautiful picture books, world history, and the endless possibilities of learning. This was a time before social media, computers, smartphones, or Google; the Dewey Decimal System was our Google back then.
There was something magical about that particular library in Houston, TX, and I can still vividly recall the sense of wonder I felt at 10 or 11 years old, surrounded by a sea of books and topics. I was driven to write my own book one day and see it on the shelves, a dream that felt extraordinary at the time. Since then I have become a published author as well as still finding myself amazed when I walk into a library or bookstore. It is definitely still one of my happy places!
Now, as I work on my first book on mindset, I reflect on that young girl full of dreams in the neighborhood library, feeling completely at home among her beloved books. Life has come full circle, and I am forever grateful to my mother for providing me with that refuge. This memory remains my most cherished from childhood.
