Check Out Nick Reed’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick Reed.

Hi Nick , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Culver City where I went to school early in my life, then moved to Palmdale and finished high school there. Since a young age I would draw, play basketball, keep to myself a lot. It wasn’t until I graduated high school when I came across the love of song-writing & rapping. I met ihateyoualx and his collective Loose Change right after where I was able to grow as an artist, and sharpen my skills as a rapper. In 2022 I created my brand Good Problems and started making clothes & designing. Been doing everything under the sun creatively ever since.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Figuring out who I was as an artist. It took me awhile to understand my voice and what I wanted to say.

Learning how to fail unapologetically. Since I could remember I’ve always been hard on myself. Losing a lot taught me valuable lessons I could’ve never learned winning.

Also losing people. Whether it’s death or just outgrowing others, it’s extremely important to surround yourself with people you can trust. In the field we’re in it’s hard to come by.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an artist through & through. I make music, draw, direct, market, design, as well as own a clothing brand called Good Problems.

I’m most proud of my brand because it incorporates everyone in my family. Everything we do is in house and it makes creating effortless.

What sets me apart from others is my team. Everyone does a little bit of everything. We set a standard for ourselves and it challenges me to rise to the occasion every time.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was extremely quiet. Ironically I was an introvert that never had problems making friends because I was funny. I loved sports and going outside. Was a family kid forsure.
