Check Out Mark Garcia’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Garcia

Hi Mark, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I got my first job working with dogs back in 2017 at a dog daycare in Santa Monica where I would eventually end up starting the dog training program in 2019. They would eventually go out of business during the Covid Lockdowns. This is during the time my dog training started to pick up and I decided to start my LLC to make it official. Rosewood K9 developed popularity very quickly in the west side neighborhood of Venice/MarVista for High Quality Dog Training Especially when it came to Working with Rescue dogs .Helping Dogs and dog owners navigate behavioral issues not limited to anxiety, fear and aggression.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This road was nowhere near smooth. Besides trying to make ends meet during a depression, and being a new business owner, really learning to deal with behavioral issues I have never faced before when I was working with daycare material type dogs. This really pushed me to gain more knowledge through literature and writing compositions of the cases I had intake. Brainstorming cause and effect and creating theories allowed me to take creative and effective approaches to properly train each dog during a time where the demand for behavioral training was extremely high due to the overflow of dogs in rescues during the COVID pandemic and the lack of socialization and exposure.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a dog trainer, I specialize in behavioral training and I’m known for having long lasting results. I’m proud to say that we don’t need to break dogs to train them, rather we build the dog up. What’s sets me apart from
Others is that I take my time in building a foundation and really work with the dog handler/owner to make sure they are fully equipped to manage their situation,

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Dog Training makes me happy. The satisfaction in knowing my efforts will help someone is the payoff. If it makes them happy too then that’s a plus. My abilities are a blessing from God and I’m glad to share them with the right people.
