Hi Malik, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Malik Davis — a radio and media personality, entertainment writer, and the founder of the brand Leektav in the Building.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of interviewing some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Denzel Washington, Viola Davis, Cardi B, and many more.
My passion for media started at a young age. Growing up, I was inspired by watching the 6 o’clock news, The Today Show, and The Wendy Williams Show — experiences that sparked my dream of becoming a media professional.
Today, I’m proud to have built a career that has led me to appearances on TMZ Live, Watch What Happens Live, and other major platforms.
This is just the beginning — I’m excited to continue making my mark in the world of media and entertainment.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road hasn’t always been smooth.
Throughout my journey, I’ve faced countless “no’s” — from opportunities that fell through to challenges navigating the ever-changing media industry.
But every setback only fueled my drive to keep pushing forward. Each experience taught me resilience, sharpened my skills, and brought me closer to the media professional I am today.

You might hear a hundred “no’s” — but remember, it only takes one “yes” to change your entire career.
