Check Out Mad Vizions’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mad Vizions

Hi Mad Vizions, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Mad Vizions was formed in the summer of 2022 when lead guitarist Gavin, then just 12 years old, envisioned creating a band free from the constraints of a single musical genre. Gavin’s passion for music emerged early, and by the age of 10, he had already founded his first band, Slithr. However, he left when the other members insisted on sticking to one musical style. Determined to pursue his vision, Gavin invited his schoolmate Haden, a versatile bassist and keyboardist, to join him. Together, they embarked on the quest to find the right bandmates. After trying out drummers and vocalists, they finally completed their lineup with Brily as the dynamic lead vocalist and Lex as the energetic drummer.

The name Mad Vizions was inspired by a song from the English rock duo, Royal Blood. We thought the name fit perfectly because of our vision for creativity. We don’t want to be confined to one style, so we decided to create music as diverse as our influences—ranging from rock, hip-hop, pop, ska, to heavy metal. Although we play a variety of cover songs, our main focus is on creating original music. We’re currently working on our first LP, a project that will showcase the range of our sound and message. Our goal is to inspire people through our music, creating connections across different backgrounds, cultures, and musical tastes.

Today, Mad Vizions is gearing up for exciting upcoming shows and events, including the Norco College Battle of the Bands, the Thriller Project Halloween show, the RawrPed Tour, and a special performance at the historic Lake Alice during one of Riverside’s biggest events, the Festival of Lights. Our ultimate dream is to perform at festivals AND stadiums, where our music can reach the masses.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely not been smooth! We have had a few band member changes, drummer and 2 vocalist. They just weren’t the right fit for our band and some didn’t have the same drive or vision. which was causing drama and disagreements. Some didn’t even practice, which was holding us back. These changes always felt like setbacks and stalled our goals…but everything happens for a reason. And we now have the right people with the same goals and–that practice! =)

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Our specialty is our ability to play music with no bounds. We play a variety of music and appeal to all people depending on their music taste. As a band, we want to be known for our skill, and flexibility. We are constantly going through a cycle of change with limitless taste in music. We are especially proud of the bonds we have with each other. We have a strong connection between each of our members and it shows when we are able to flow off each other during live performance. We are set apart by our age, and our skill. Being ages 14-16 we feel we have the ability to succeed due to the amount of skill we have at our age.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
