Check Out Lucas Frangiosa’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lucas Frangiosa.

Hi Lucas, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Sure thing. I’m originally from a small town in Massachusetts– like I grew up in the middle of the woods, quite literally. During my senior year of college there was an opportunity to move out to LA for the winter if you could get an internship in your field. I was tired of shoveling snow so I found a sublet near USC on Facebook Marketplace, got myself an internship and flew out to LA. I was able to turn that internship into a job and the connections I made there led me to my current role at Nettwerk Music Group. Ironically, now I really only fly back to Massachusetts in the winter.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I mean, COVID sure was a struggle. A whole lot of the friends I had made and both personal and industry connections I had established in the first few years living in LA just got Thanos snapped. For a while, I was doing the freelance thing, taking gigs on sets or studios wherever I could. I had a lot of fun and met a ton of great people but found that wasn’t for me. I’ve been really lucky though, can’t complain.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work in Digital Marketing at Nettwerk Music Group. It’s been incredibly rewarding to be able to work with some artists who I’m fans of both musically and as people. I guess I would say my specialty is in social media. I seem to be able to post things that people want to click on and that’s helped me a lot when it comes to promoting myself or the artists I work with.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Since March Madness is still fresh on my mind right now… When I was 15, my friends and I decided to do a March Madness tournament and all make our own brackets. I had no idea what I was doing, I did not watch college basketball at all. But I gave them my $5 and I filled out my bracket with very little knowledge. Well, I won the pool with my friends and ended up coming in the 99th percentile on the ESPN bracket thing with a bracket that was one of the Top 1000 in the world. I think I only ended up winning something like $30 and have never made a successful bracket since then.
