Check Out Leilani Ramirez’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leilani Mendez-Ramirez

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well I started my baking business in 2014 when I was first named ‘Sweets By Leilani’. I didn’t see it as a business but rather a means for a little extra money. What’s crazy is that I didn’t really see myself doing the business for long or have any vision for growing. Fast forward to 2024 and now named Heavenly Flour Bake Shop I am a licensed home bakery! I bake and create custom cakes and desserts for all occasions.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all! It has definitely been a bumpy road but I’ve learned and grown so much, not only in my craft but as a business woman. With every failure has been a lesson for how to do better the next time.
Some of the struggles I’ve dealt with in the beginning was time management, organization and money management. I’ve definitely come a long way and I know I have so much more to learn as I continue my business.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a baker + artist! I specialize in custom cakes and cookies for all occasions. I also bake other desserts but cakes and cookies are my most requested.
I’m most proud of my creativity which is what sets me apart from the next baker.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I listen to a lot of sermons and faith-building podcasts. Some of my top ones that I listen to while doing my business are:
-Lunch with Pastor Jason
-Conversations with John & Lisa Bevere
-With the Perry’s
-Maxwell Leadership
