Check Out Lauren Turner’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Turner.

Hi Lauren, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always loved nails and nail art. I loved seeing my favorite group swv growing up with long artistic nails. When I got my nails done I always loved the way it made me feel and the extra confidence boost it gave me. I wanted to go to nail school and become a licensed nail tech but I never had the time with work. Then the pandemic happened and I had the time to tap into my passion and become a licensed nail technician.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It takes a lot of study and practice to pass the test to become licensed. Struggles of the career have to do with persuading & educating clients to healthy alternatives than what they’re used to.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I do hard gel, gel-x, acrylic, abstract art and I restore & maintain the natural nails of men & women. I also have my own polish line called Pretty Nailz. I have gel polishes in multiple colors and I also have water-based nail polish that doesn’t have the toxins that regular polish includes.

I am most proud of how I can do someone’s nails and the extra boost of confidence they leave with. What sets me apart is my approach to nail care. Although I love making beautiful nail art &nail extensions, I take pride in maintaining & making sure your natural nails are healthy underneath the extensions.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Ms. Cee Cee and Mrs. Ceci at Neihule Beauty Academy play a big role in my success story. They taught me the craft and how to make a career out of it.
