Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Ramirez.
Hi Kelly, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started when I was 13 years old and watched my mom and older sister do their own makeup, and secretly grabbed their products and take it to the bathroom and do my own makeup with the “mascara” or “blush”. That’s when I knew I had a passion for makeup. I was so intrigued in learning more and more! So I started watching YouTube tutorials and practiced on my own.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was something that I really enjoyed doing. I remember being able to have the permission of my parents to do my own makeup after a year so when I was 14 years old. After many practice it became something very special and fortunately very smooth for me. I knew that when I grew up I wanted to be a professional makeup artist.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
After many years of practice on myself and others I was able to finally become a MUA. I do makeup for proms, graduations, weddings, & even for Halloween!! I am very proud of myself for not giving up and really pursuing my dreams! What really sets me apart from others is for sure my noble personality. I love to always focus on the good, never the negative. I know it’s always great to meet people that work to increase value in people and in situations.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something very surprising that most people don’t know about me is that I aspire to be a SFX Makeup Artist for the films one day!
