Today we’d like to introduce you to Katikka Anders.
Hi Katikka, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I moved from South Carolina to SoCal less than a year ago to begin a career in real estate after spending 20yrs in corporate America. My real estate career took off fairly quickly and now I have a broad spectrum of clients in OC and LA with specialty in luxury homes in West Hollywood, Studio City, Beverly Hills.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road. The first struggle to getting where I am now was actually the move from SC to CA and the expense of the move that would take a toll on my family when we arrived here in CA. Financial struggle was an issue for several months, but somehow things would find a way to work out even if it was a small blessing. But then there were small struggles of me and my kids (teenagers) getting adjusted to a new state, city, and environment. However, that was a tiny struggle as it didn’t take at all for us to feel right at home.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a real estate agent with RE/MAX New Dimension, which has two offices located in Anaheim and Santa Ana. While we service all of OC, LA County, and Riverside County my areas that I specialize in real estate are West Hollywood, Hollywood, Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills and Studio City. Many of my clients are looking for luxury homes of all types. I’m most proud of myself and how I’m able to connect with my clients. I have clients who we talk on a weekly basis, and they tell me how I’m easy to work with, seem to know exactly what they are looking for, and just enjoy our conversations about life, family, travel, etc. I’m proud at the comfort I provide to my clients and it doesn’t matter if they are famous or not because I see everyone for who they are and not who the world sees them as. I think that is also what sets me apart from other realtors; it’s all about connection and being more human and less “salesy”.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Advice that I have for anyone who is just starting in real estate or in any career is to be patient because we all have been new at something; no one is exempt. Also, have confidence in yourself, have confidence in your work and just be unapologetically you.
