Today we’d like to introduce you to Kathleen Ives.

Kathleen Ives

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up in a small town in the Midwest, I always felt like I was given a bag of puzzle pieces of my soul I had to carry around with me. When I was young, some of the pieces naturally connected from shifting around in the bag, but it wasn’t until college I metaphorically sat down and started consciously putting the puzzle together.

After connecting the edges, life happened. Distractions happened. Relationships happened. I spent a lot of years living the way I thought would make me feel safe, feel loved, and feel accepted. I was always able to take on a lot, not realizing that I didn’t have to. I held a lot of stress and unhealed pain and grief for a lot of people, including my partner. I had no capacity to hold space for myself anymore and I could feel me slipping away under a veil of disillusion, not recognizing the person I saw in the mirror anymore. My puzzle was left untouched, gathering dust, for several years.

Losing my soul dog, my partner of the time, and moving to a new city all led me to the clear realizations that readied me to move on and prioritize myself for the first time.

So I sat down, and I made a promise to myself I would work on my soul puzzle a little bit each day. As the pieces connected, I learned tools and techniques that changed the way I healed profoundly. I learned to build the muscle of my intuition and trust it wholeheartedly. I learned to truly and completely love myself, even on hard days when my shadow would rear its angry head. I learned to love both my masculine and feminine divine energies. I learned to reframe how I processed traumas and challenges. I learned to accept that growth is not linear and to hold each stage with grace and gratitude.

Most importantly, I learned that my ability to connect to the spirit could be used to help others heal, grow, and rediscover their true soul selves. I am so grateful for this beautiful journey of life, with all its ups and downs. I want to be able to show people the powerful light they have inside them.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A smooth road is never fun! I prefer to take the unpaved path apparently.

I think regardless of the tangible obstacles, the biggest obstacle you will ever have is yourself. I had to believe that I was worthy to do this work. I had to believe I was able to do this work. I had to TRUST my intuition that I was on the right path.

One thing they don’t tell you is often when you make aligned and intuitive decisions, even if it’s the right one, it doesn’t feel comfortable! I went through many periods of feeling not like myself, feeling off or uncomfortable, yet still knowing I’m on the right path.

Also, relationships will change. You will lose some friends. People who do not match the new energy you are putting out will fall away organically, and that is a hard pill to swallow. Know that it only makes room for new relationships that are even more aligned to the path you are on.

I did a lot of inner work to overcome these challenges, and I’m so grateful I did not let them stop me!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Soul Coach.

What does that mean? I am a Spiritual Medium, Clairvoyant, and Intuitive Guide with a passion for helping people on their healing journeys, providing real-world tools for growth and transformation.

Some of my clients are awakening to their spiritual gifts and need guidance on how to connect deeper and protect their energy. Some of my clients simply want to connect to loved ones who have crossed over to the other side. Others seek guided meditations or end-of-life support coaching.

I am currently in the process of becoming a Death Doula as well. I have such a passion for holding space for people in the greatest transformation of their lives.

We are far more powerful than we give ourselves credit for. I help people learn how to clear roadblocks holding you back from your most abundant path and move forward with confidence and self-love.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Yes! I am a huge fan of Insight Timer for meditations and music to sleep to. I also have some of my meditations recorded on there for sleep! There’s so many awesome teachers on there.

I love Healing Vibrations on YouTube I always put his sound baths on when I’m in the house.

The book The Light Between Us by Laura Lynne Jackson changed my life. It’s a beautiful book about connection, love, and our everlasting energy.

I am part of a group called Sacred Sisters, where we facilitate classes, retreats, and other monthly events both in-person and on our app, The Haven. This group of women are the most beautiful souls all with unique gifts and offerings and I can say they have truly made such an impact from being an event attendee to now being a facilitator, it truly is a safe space for women.
