Check Out Kat Walsh’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kat Walsh

Hi Kat, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. For most of my early life, it was all about sports. Softball was my entire world, and it took me all the way to a full-ride scholarship at Villanova University as a pitcher. But after college, I found myself in a completely different arena—the entertainment industry. I thought being a talent agent was my dream, but the reality felt like the opposite. It was chaotic, fear-driven and ultimately, I wasn’t happy. So, I pivoted to TV development and marketing, hoping to find more fulfillment. Spoiler alert: I didn’t.

By 31, I had this strange realization—I was both stressed and bored at the same time. Not exactly the winning combo for a thriving life. I started questioning everything, which led me to explore plant medicine and psychedelics. A pivotal ayahuasca journey showed me what I was missing: self-love. I wasn’t looking for some big external life fix—I needed to actually care for myself, in the simplest ways. So, I started integrating this new awareness into my life: I deleted my dating apps, took more bubble baths, and prioritized myself in ways I never had before.

Then, in 2019, I had a life-changing experience with mushrooms and MDMA. In one moment of absolute clarity, I realized: I can do anything I want. I’d never had a thought like that before. But once it did, everything started shifting. I set the intention to discover my purpose, and life responded. I ended up co-hosting a podcast with a comedian—an experience that ultimately wasn’t the right fit, but it was the spark I needed. It showed me that I loved podcasting and using my voice.

That’s when Trip On This was born in 2020. A podcast about psychedelics, transformation and opening up to bold possibilities. It hasn’t always been easy—there were plenty of moments of self-doubt, financial struggles, and the occasional what the hell am I doing? spirals. But through it all, I kept trusting my intuition, following what felt right and believing in the possibility of miracles.

Since then, I’ve expanded beyond podcasting into speaking, hosting, storytelling and DJing. I created a self-guided microdosing program called The Miracle Zone, host live events, and continue to explore ways to bring these conversations to a wider audience. If my journey has taught me anything, it’s this: when you follow what lights you up, even when it makes no logical sense, life has a way of meeting you there.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth road?! Not a chance! My journey has been a mix of breakthroughs and breakdowns, highs and lows, and a whole lot of WTF is happening moments. From the pressure of being a high-performing athlete to the cutthroat chaos of Hollywood, I spent years chasing external validation—believing that if I just achieved one more thing, I’d finally feel fulfilled. I’m sure it’s no surprise but — I didn’t. Instead, I found myself battling anxiety, self-doubt, and a deep sense of unworthiness, all while numbing with escapism and distractions.

But even after I started Trip On This, the struggles didn’t magically disappear. Financial instability, creative burnout, and the constant dance with self-doubt have been very real parts of this path. Navigating a spiritual awakening while also trying to build a business? Not exactly a light and breezy process. I had to rewire my entire nervous system, learn to trust my intuition, and get comfortable with uncertainty. But every challenge, every low, has been a stepping stone. Because through it all, I’ve learned that life isn’t about knocking down walls—it’s about flowing with what’s meant for you. And once I stopped forcing, things started unfolding in ways I never could’ve imagined.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I wear a lot of hats—show host, speaker, storyteller, DJ, community builder—but at my core, I’m someone who’s here to remind people of their own infinite potential. I created Trip On This to be the bridge for those stepping into their psychedelic and spiritual path, a place where transformation meets real talk. It’s not just about psychedelics—it’s about what happens after. How do you take those big, bold insights and actually live them? That’s what I specialize in—helping people integrate, trust themselves, and step into a life they never thought possible.

Beyond the podcast, I speak, I host, I DJ, and I create spaces for people to expand. Whether it’s through The Miracle Zone microdosing program, my personal podcast Life With Kat Walsh, or a bumping dance floor set, everything I do is about feeling. Feeling joy, feeling connected, feeling alive.

What sets me apart? Raw honesty. I don’t pretend to have it all figured out—I just keep showing up, sharing my journey, and demonstrating that trusting yourself actually works. I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve built a life that once felt impossible, and in doing so, I get to remind others that they can too. Also… I f*cking love music. Nothing makes me happier than watching a dance floor come alive with people fully in their bodies, lost in the music. Because that? That’s the miracle.

What makes you happy?
Honestly my ultimate JOY — like pure happiness — is going to a show with a proper sound system and dancing so hard I feel like I’m levitating. I laugh that everyone needs to go to a proper rave at least once in their life. Ha! I also have an incredible family who loves and supports me unconditionally and friends who are one-in-a-million kind of people. I feel forever blessed to have such extraordinary human beings in my life. Those two things — music and people — is the place my heart truly comes alive.
