Check Out Jennifer Digiacomo’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Digiacomo.

Hi Jennifer, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in a family that made the most of every celebratory occasion from Holidays to birthday parties. That led to my passion for bringing people together surrounded by good food and lovely decorations.

In 2018 I transformed my fondness for entertaining into a business called “Pixels And Pop.” It began as an Etsy shop where I sold printable party decorations and DIY gifts but it has recently evolved into a physical product line of apparel, seasonal home decor, and gifts sold through my website PixelsAndPop.com.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As a graphic designer, I am trained to adapt to a variety of different design styles in order to meet the needs of my clients. When I first started designing for my own company, I realized that I could create any look I wanted, which was both exciting and overwhelming.

In the beginning, it was much more difficult to design for me but after a few years, I’ve finally developed and refined the branded look of Pixels And Pop. As you browse my products you’ll notice my aesthetic is whimsical watercolor art with bits of boho in the details.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Nothing makes me happier than sharing my love of entertaining through my gifts and decorations for your home and celebrations. That being said, I am also very passionate about partying with the planet in mind. Sustainability is very important to me, which is why I choose to solely work with companies who are continually striving to do their part to be sustainable and responsible in their business practices, such as my apparel manufacturer Bella + Canvas.

Aside from my product line, I love sharing frugal tips and tricks for entertaining, as well as DIY tutorials and general party inspiration on the blog portion of my website. A lot of time and effort is put into the creation of my products and inspirational content so to have had my work published in national magazines such as “Mingle Magazine,” “A Somerset Holiday” and “Entertain & Celebrate,” makes me very proud.

What does success mean to you?
Success to me is creating something you’re proud of. In regards to my business, that would be a high-quality, ethically-produced product that is well-received by my customers, driving both sales and brand awareness. I also feel that success is a journey rather than a destination. My goal is to continue to grow, learn and adapt as I continue this adventure as a small business owner.
