Check Out Jasmyne Clark’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmyne Clark.

Hi Jasmyne, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Jasmyne, and I’m a Permanent Makeup Artist and the owner of Browsthetics, where I specialize in Permanent Makeup services like ombre powder brows, nano combo brows, and brow lamination.

I’ve always been a creative at heart—art has just always felt natural to me. Photography used to be a big passion of mine, and I’ve always been drawn to anything that lets me express myself visually. Over time, I noticed the universe kind of nudging me toward the beauty space. I kept coming across content related to PMU—videos, posts, and even women who were just starting out and looking for models to practice on. Eventually, I came across one video that really stopped me in my tracks. Something about it sparked this deep feeling like, “This is for you. This is what you’re supposed to be doing.” Right after that moment, I started searching for a training and instructor, signed up, completed my course—and honestly, I’ve been in love with it ever since.

The journey hasn’t been without its challenges, but every step has taught me something. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m even more proud that I never gave up on myself. I’ve grown so much since starting, and I’m still learning, still evolving, and still hungry to elevate my work.

Today, I specialize in ombre powder brows, nano combo brows and brow lamination and it brings me so much joy to help women feel more confident in their skin. I love the connections I’ve made through this work, and the impact it’s had on both my clients and me personally. Looking ahead, I’m focused on continuing to grow my business and clientele, expanding my services, creating a special program for women experiencing hair loss, and eventually opening my own studio space. Everything I do comes from a place of passion, purpose, and the desire to pour into others—and I’m just getting started.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—it’s had its tough moments for sure.

There were months where I had little to no clients, or maybe just one or two here and there. I struggled with different areas of the services themselves, constantly trying to improve, while also juggling a full-time job and doing PMU on the side. At one point, I was even a part of a team of other talented ladies and ended up getting let go, which really shook my confidence. It made me question everything—whether I was really cut out for this and if I could actually make it work.

But even with all of that, I kept pushing. I had a few people close to me who truly supported me, and I held onto the vision of what I wanted for myself. There were times I felt so discouraged and was genuinely close to quitting, thinking, “Maybe I can’t do this.” I’ve had a pattern in the past—starting something and walking away when self-doubt hit. But this time, I challenged myself. I asked, “What if you don’t quit? What if this actually becomes something if you just keep going?” So even though it felt overwhelming, I chose to do something different and push through it.

That choice has taught me a lot. I’ve learned to be more kind to myself, to give myself grace, and to practice patience—especially in those moments where I’m overthinking everything. Honestly, I’ve come to see those challenges as tests from the universe. Like, “Let’s see how you handle this now.” And I’m just so grateful—for the people who’ve been in my corner, for not giving up on myself, and especially for the women who have trusted me with their brows and their confidence.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Permanent Makeup Artist, and I specialize in creating ombre powder brows, nano combo brows, and brow lamination. My passion lies in helping women feel more confident and empowered through the art of brows. What sets me apart is the level of care I put into each service, really listening to my clients and making sure I understand their vision before creating something that enhances their natural beauty.

I’m most proud of the growth I’ve experienced along the way—not just in skill but in my own confidence as an artist. There’s something truly fulfilling about seeing a client’s reaction after their brows are done and knowing that you’ve played a part in boosting their self-esteem. I’m also proud that I’ve never given up on this journey, even when things felt tough. I’ve learned to trust the process and challenge myself to grow, which has helped me develop a unique approach that blends creativity with precision.

What sets me apart is that I’m not just about creating beautiful brows; I’m about creating a connection with the women I work with. My goal is to make every client feel heard and valued. It’s about more than just the service—it’s about the experience and the impact it has on their confidence. I’m passionate about what I do, and that passion fuels everything I create.

How do you define success?
To me, success doesn’t have a blueprint. What it looks like for one person won’t be the same for the next—and that’s okay. I believe success is personal. Whether it’s a goal in your career, your personal life, or even just how you’re choosing to live—every step you take toward that vision is success.

It’s in the small wins, the hard work behind the scenes, and the moments where you choose not to give up on yourself. That dedication, even when no one’s watching—that’s success. It’s also about being proud of yourself, recognizing how far you’ve come, and giving yourself credit for the progress you’ve made. And ultimately, it’s about feeling fulfilled, content, and happy with the outcome you’ve created for yourself. That’s what I strive for.
