Check Out James Baltz’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to James Baltz.

Hi James, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Thanks for your interest in my practice!
My degrees in Anthropology and World Music at the University of Oregon led to my studies in plant medicine and traditional healing.  Along the way, I became skilled in Yoga and Aikido, and for 20 years have practiced Qigong and Tai Chi. These practices are informed by the same theories that underpin Oriental medicine.
I next completed a 4-year Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Herbal medical science, and for 10 years now I have served West Hollywood clients of all ages in my private practice.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Well, starting a practice is always initially challenging!  But over time I have developed a satisfying client list, and am proud to use my skills to help my patients with the varied challenges they face.
Seeing patients improve from chronic pain, insomnia, infertility issues, and many other health concerns is very satisfying.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My study and practice of self-healing Qigong exercises introduced me to the theories of Oriental Medicine almost 20 years ago. Tools for self-healing are wonderful gifts for patients and insights that I pass on set my practice apart.
I am fortunate to have had a long diverse background beyond my graduate studies and internships that I can bring to bear in the clinic.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I have been lucky to be able to practice something I love and to be able to help people. I love working with patients and helping others, so I feel very fortunate.
