Today we’d like to introduce you to DJ Geez.
Hi DJ Geez, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started dejaying when I was 20 years old doing small events like family cookouts and neighborhood block parties. As I moved around Philadelphia establishing myself as a dj I was able to get books for major events like festivals & concerts. I also had the pleasure to dj for state property Peedi crakk & hall of fame Shaquille O’Neal on his radio station ShaqfuRadio. So far, I’ve been dejaying for 12 years in total.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It actually has been a smooth road for me in the beginning of my dj career because of the connections I made helping me to stay booked but when covid hit it’s been a struggle because for a couple of months, people wasn’t having events.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a professional musician & artist. I play the drums, piano & just started playing the auto saxophone for my church. Also, I have two songs I’m rapping on called “right now” & “ whine it up “ available on all streaming platforms.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes, definitely live your life to the fullest because tomorrow isn’t promised.
