Today we’d like to introduce you to Destinee Thomas.

Destinee, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started by envisioning where I see my future self. I started living life on my own terms, owning my life, and following my passions. When I began to think more in-depth about my life journey up to the present moment, I realized that who I am and where I am is not because of a series of coincidences nor is it rooted in luck. I’d say it’s the result of just showing up when life calls. Flowing with life and its precious waves of highs & lows. It’s merely flow. My answer is flow.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would certainly not say it has been a smooth road, but rather one that can be defined by my own perspective. You see, the thing about life is that no matter what cards you were dealt, what you do with those cards is what will matter. The lens in which you view it with would be the ultimate defining factor of how adversity will affect you.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an actress born and raised in New York. I’ve done theater which id say is an experience. I’ve also dabbled into commercial work. As of now, I’m more focused on Tv and film.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the endless possibilities of things to do, the amazing weather, and the sort of chill vibe that oozes through the atmosphere. As for the least, perhaps the traffic isn’t favorable.
