Check Out Dante Wade’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dante Wade. He and his team share their story with us below:

Co-Founders Aaron Warrick, Greg Wilson, and Dante’ Wade attended the campus of Lincoln University PA where we were able to formulate a brotherhood while matriculating through school. After post-secondary education and going our separate paths, we were faced with the realities and stressors that life brings as you grow into adulthood. Through tough times we continued to encourage each other by sending inspirational messages, videos, and self-care tips. After noticing an upward trend in our mental, physical and emotional well-being we wanted to share our self-care practices with the world. “If it worked for us, let’s create a platform where it can work for other people.” From that mindset and desire to promote emotional wealth to our community, Reju was born.

After launching our MVP, we were able to acquire 5K downloads in 10 countries throughout the world. We are in our seed round of funding and in the process of releasing the second version of our app very soon. This version will allow users to book affordable 1 to 1 session with licensed and holistic wellness experts. Currently, we serve B2B clients ranging from higher education to workforce development.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest struggle we faced along the way was securing the funds to be able to move forward. From the development to the marketing to the in-person activations we funded everything out of our own pockets because we believe in the mission so much. Some other struggles just included us learning how to operate a digital business. The mobile app industry is one of the hardest to make a profit in.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
For my work, I am a Director of National Business Development for a non-profit company. Within this role, I oversee national partnerships as well as standardize and implement internal procedures. I’ve maintained partnerships with hiring partners ranging from small startups to Fortune 500 companies. In that time, I helped 300 people find jobs while generating $200K in revenue for the company.

I am most proud of being able to be in a position where I can change people’s lives for the better. Life presents a lot of challenges and obstacles for all of us so I find my passion in being able to be a resource for others.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
For apps, I use Reju and my music app mainly. For Podcasts, I listen to Earn Your Leisure, I Am Athlete, The Pivot and The Halftime Report.

My favorite books are The One Thing by Gary Keller, Getting There The Book of Mentors & The Autobiography of Arthur Ashe.
