Today we’d like to introduce you to Daisy Tornel.
Hi Daisy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Daisy Tornel, also known as the host of Cafecito Con Daisy, is a proud Latina from Southern California. A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, she earned her degree in Communications with a focus on Journalism. Daisy’s passion for journalism blossomed through her extensive coursework in broadcast journalism during her time at university.
Fueled by her love for coffee and entertainment, Daisy created Cafecito Con Daisy—a platform where she shares trending entertainment stories, spotlights local coffee shops, and keeps her audience informed on the latest buzz.
In addition to her work as a content creator, Daisy is a host and reporter for Todo Wafi Media. There, she covers red carpet events, interviews celebrities, and co-hosts The Todo Latino Show, further establishing her presence in the entertainment industry.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Daisy’s journey as a multimedia journalist has not been without its challenges. Since graduating, she’s faced numerous setbacks, including the struggle of applying for jobs and often not receiving callbacks or second interviews. No one prepares you for the real world after college. Building a platform from scratch has been an uphill battle, and there have been moments of uncertainty about where to even begin. Despite these obstacles, Daisy remains determined, continuing to push forward and create content with passion and resilience.

I specialize in multimedia journalism, with a focus on entertainment, culture, and lifestyle. I’m known for blending my passion for storytelling with my love for coffee and entertainment—creating a space where my audience can stay informed on trending topics, discover new coffee spots, and dive into the world of entertainment.
Cafecito Con Daisy is a platform where I can share my personality and connect with others over common interests like coffee, entertainment, and culture. I bring an authentic, relatable perspective that resonates with people, especially within the Latino community.
What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come in building my platform from scratch. Even though it hasn’t always been easy, seeing the growth of Cafecito Con Daisy and the connections I’ve made along the way has been incredibly rewarding.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe it is important to take risks in life, especially when It’s for something you love. One of the risks I’ve had to take is putting a hold on certain jobs in order to focus more on my brand as ‘Cafecito Con Daisy.’ While doing that I have gained a lot more knowledge, experience and growth in my career. Sometimes it isn’t a setback but it’s redirection to help you rediscover what your talents are and what it is you truly want in life.
