Check Out Courtney Paige’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Paige.

Hi Courtney, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
At home theatre in my Granny’s living room turned Kelowna community theatre turned Larry Moss/group theatre turned film/TV Vancouver turned film/TV Los Angeles based actor turned director turned Yahoo finance featured production company, Yeehaw Films co-owner; bringing safer film finance opportunities to Hollywood and the entertainment industry.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No road worth traveling is smooth. The most struggling phases of my career are where I learn and grow the most. Primarily about the art of having patience.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m really proud to be a Canadian working in Los Angeles. I filed my green card and to me, that’s a huge accomplishment. I was the first woman in my family to graduate high school. My Mother wanted to be an actress but made sacrifices to be the best Mom she could. When I was five, we lived in San Diego for a year. I always imagined myself back here in California. I think it’s really fun to be bi costal and have the privilege of working in two beautiful places. It’s been my lifelong goal to make my Mom really proud and accomplish monumental things gracefully and humbly with my career in film.

What are your plans for the future?
I used to plan for the future. I always had big dreams. Some would say nearly impossible dreams. Last year I decided to live my life day by day and to appreciate the small things. To look back on the achievements I’ve already had. It’s really elevated my presence as a person, especially with gratitude. I think it’s so dreamy for us to plan for the future, but it’s more meaningful to live for today. To be present. We never know when our last day is and more important than career accomplishments are family, friends, love, giving back and making sure we are healthy and happy. For me, that is a big change. To live each day as it comes. To be present. Content. Career-wise though, I am excited for my most special project I’ve been working on for seven years to finally be in the packaging stage. It’s taken a long time to find the right producers who can get behind this project to make it properly, but thanks to my new partners in film; Kyler Fisher, Madison Bon Tempo and Gil Demeter with Yeehaw Films and some incredible producers, I have teamed up with on upcoming projects: Jordan Wagner, Carol Anne Watts, Gary and Ryan Hamilton, Jeff Bowler, Grady Craig, Joanna and Kevin Forrest Clark, Cecile Del Rosario, Kathy Sue Holtorf, Rick Licht, Mike Bundlie and so more. I am excited for the incredible relationships I am building to blossom and hopefully make some impactful films these next couple of years.
