Check Out Chanelle Delgado’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chanelle Delgado.

Chanelle Delgado

Hi Chanelle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I walked away from a degree in politics and film because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. I started in documentary film but when a friend asked me to document her wedding, I instantly fell in love with all of the beautiful emotions displayed throughout a wedding day. Capturing a couples’ wedding day is like meeting them inside of a romance movie. I get a glimpse into your life and I’m honored to creatively capture your connection, your vibrance, your world.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I always encourage brides to do a boudoir photoshoot. What I love about Boudoir is seeing a woman transform during the session. I spent so much time hiding my body until 2022 when I lost 110 pounds. I’ve been falling in love with my body at every size.

You can trust me to pose you because I’ve posed myself and many bodies, at varying sizes. I love different perspectives of our bodies because so often we forget that we are 3D. I capture women in a way that doesn’t hide the shape of their body, but celebrates it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work is a collaboration, I want to tell my couples story and I do that best when I know more about them. I like to add a personal touch and do things differently. My couples tend to be sentimental, adventurous and even non traditional, choosing to do activities that feel more personal. And I want to be there to document their story, whether that’s morning golf descending into cart races or sneaking away to the hotel room to take a few intimate newlywed pics! I want to give couples photos that capture who they are and what their relationship feels like.

What matters most to you? Why?
Capturing intimate moments of human connection is what makes my heart beat hardest. I am so passionate and I put so much of my soul into documenting love stories in the most magical and meaningful way.

I believe that great photos come from building an awesome relationship with couples. I want to capture real laughter and raw emotion, not cookie-cutter, overly posed wedding photos, because real love is about so much more than that.
