Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolina Ramirez.
Carolina, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I moved from my hometown in Laredo, Texas to Las Vegas to start my music career in 2016. I moved to Hollywood in 2022 to take my career further. I started taking music seriously in 2019; before that, I was only releasing songs on SoundCloud here and there. I’m at a point in my career that feels like everything I’ve dreamed of is at arms reach. It took a lot of bumps in the road and overcoming my own self-doubt to get to the point I’m at now where I can truly say I’m confident that I’m going to make my dream a reality. It’s already happening little by little.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road. The main struggle I’ve dealt with and still sometimes deal with is getting discouraged. This industry is very competitive and sometimes I get in my own way by thinking “There’s so many people doing this who are way more talented than I am, what makes me think I’m going to be that 1 in a million?”. I overcome that by staying consistent and true to myself. This is what I love to do and I’m going to keep doing it no matter where it takes me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an independent music artist. I’m a singer/songwriter. I’m best known for my music videos and fashion. My music videos are what I’m most proud of because I style them myself as well as creatively direct them. I like to think my music videos set me apart from others that are at the level I’m at because I like to be extra. Even tho I’m nowhere near Lady Gaga or Doja Cats level, I always refer back to their work when starting a new video. Their wardrobe, set design, and quality is something I admire. One day I will have enough money for that kind of production value but for now, I’m doing the most with what I got.

I don’t like pizza 😕 LOL
