Hi Breanna, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been singing since I was little but it wasn’t until college that I decided to take it seriously. I began releasing my own music on sound cloud in the year of 2018 and a year later, I started to release music on other streaming platforms. Over time I had to change my artist name and that’s when I began my journey being Ginga Soul with the release of my song night drive and things have been falling into place ever since. I’ve been blessed with a community of people who genuinely love, support, and want to help me and because of them, that’s why where I am today.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t been an easy road, honestly, no road is easy. One of the biggest struggles so far has been finances and finding people to work with the budget I have.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Neo-soul artist and I aim to help others through my music. I believe what sets me apart from others is my delivery and my voice. My tone and texture are so distinctive you’d be able to tell right away if one of my songs was playing on the radio or popped up on another artist’s radio station. Also, in the way I create, I make sure to leave space for me to be my most authentic self.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Yes, there’s this YouTuber named HINDZ. I recently got into his channel and have been loving his content. His videos provide a lot of useful tools also while providing inspiration. The videos also change your perspective of things. I recommend it to everyone.
