His highly anticipated newest project, “House of Mirrors,” has already been praised by critics and fans alike for its raw and honest lyrics that will undoubtedly resonate with any who faces mental health and its challenges while getting personal with an emotional journey dealing with anxiety. He released his debut EP, “Castaway,” which is currently available for streaming.

Short about me:

How I got into music was pretty simple. I grew up in the church; my parents were pastors, so I was attracted to music very early as a kid. I actually started playing drums when I was 2 years old and thought, “This is it! This is all I want to do with my life.” then, as time went on, I picked up a guitar when I was 13 years old and immediately become a student of the craft and of music. I was drawn to blues and listened to all the greats in blues music, from B.B. King, Robert Cray, Eric Clapton, and SRV. Fast forward 15 years, now as a professional touring artist, music has been such a blessing and vehicle that has allowed me to see most of the United States, Canada, the UK, and Europe, and tour the country of Ireland. I have met so many incredible people and hear their stories. It’s really been so amazing. Now, I am currently based in Nashville, TN, with my wife, who is a podcaster, and I get to write/produce music for TV and Film.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not! But I think anything worth pursuing that’s something bigger than “you” isn’t going to be smooth or easy road. But it will be the most rewarding. Growth and investment always have growing pains and setbacks. It doesn’t mean it’s a total failure! It just means learn from the mistakes and setbacks and create again. Don’t be afraid to pivot and don’t be afraid to keep reinventing yourself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have been a touring music artist for coming up to 10 years now. The last two years I recently have got into writing and producing music for Tv, and films and it has been very refreshing for me to be honest. It gave me a fresh creativity to release music and also helped me grow a lot even as an artist. I mentioned earlier don’t be afraid to pivot or reinvent yourself, the year 2020 really helped me dig in and polish my writing and producing chops and allowed me to get into this side of the music industry.

As far as what I am known for, I was number 1 on the POP and CCM charts in 2020 in South Africa and France.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The beauty of music is it’s a lot like the fashion industry. Everything comes full circle. Right now, if you look at fashion, it seems as though everyone is rocking the 90’s look which I am not mad at! I was born in the 90s, and the 90s are absolutely a “VIBE,” But I can see the music industry in the next 5-10 years creating more space and room for independent artists to have a voice to create and get more placements. It is on larger tours or even sync placements for TV/film. With TikTok pulling these major artist’s catalogs off their platform it will make room for these independent artists to make a splash now. I am really excited to see the shift in the industry! With the writer’s strike over and coming to an agreement, TV/film coming back to work now the scriptwriters are back, the future is bright for music artists and songwriters like me to really make an impact and help the industry shift not only with doing live shows but having a voice in these larger productions.
