Check Out Bella Kelly’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bella Kelly.

Hi Bella, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started in the entertainment business at a very young age, acting in several tv series and movies but my passion was always music. Someone me and David both knew introduced us to each other and it took off from there. When I met David, I was very green, and he took me under his wing. My first studio session was for a rapper David was working with at the time and I did a chorus for his song. I learned so much that day from David. Then we recorded my first song which was named “dark Barbie” after recording, a few days passed, and I showed David a song I wrote about the anxiety I was struggling with called “Throat” after hearing it he decided to scratch “dark Barbie” and go along with “Throat” as a first single. I completely trusted his judgment, so we recorded “Throat” that day and then started planning the music video for it with Vicente Cordero who is an amazing director. During the filming of throat, it was so much fun. We had Laney Chantal make the anxiety creature hand and fx makeup which she did a sick job on! A few months had past then we recorded “heartbreak motel” which was my 2nd single.

Currently, I just filmed the music video for my newest song which I’m extremely excited to release. Which will launch my first EP.

I’ve definitely grown a lot in many different aspects while I’ve been working with David. I’ve learned a lot from him and I’m excited for the rest of this journey to play out!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I believe anything you do in life will have some bumps. As my mom says nothing worth having comes easy. I think the way the music industry works it’s harder for an independent artist to break into the market but at the same time there’s social media which can be an amazing thing because you can reach so many people around the world. In my case, I focus on my lyrics, and I hope I can connect with people thru my lyrics. Nothing in life will be completely breezy and easy. It’s important to find what your passion is and work hard. I feel like working hard isn’t a thing anymore and it’s something that’s important in my opinion. Hard work and passion are two great things and together they are amazing.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a singer, songwriter. I’ve been singing since I was old enough to stand. My mom got me a karaoke machine when I was 3 to play with. I loved to sing and to put on little performances for my mom and sisters. My writing started when I was very young. I would write stories, poems, and lyrics as a healthy way to cope with what I was dealing with, to express my feelings and my imagination. Music and my writing has always been a passion and safe place for me. I knew since I was young, I wanted to help people who are hurting and who felt like I was feeling with my lyrics, music. I didn’t have friends growing up. I was bullied in school, so I became homeschooled at a young age. I was very close to my sisters but then they moved away, I felt very alone. That’s one of the reasons I got so depressed, but writing was my light when I was in the dark. The pen and paper became my best friend.

I am most proud of my work ethic and how I don’t comprise myself for fame or money.

I believe what sets me apart from others is my writing and my unusual voice people say I found like a fairy.

What do you think about happiness?
Making people happy or helping someone makes me happy. It brings a joy to me when I make someone feel happy or help them. My fiancé/Producer makes me very happy. He is an amazing man who makes my life a real-life fairytale. David is my blessing and we are each other’s light. We are an awesome team together.

He’s helped with my career and dreams more than anyone else has. He has an amazing drive and work ethic. He is so talented at what he does. It makes me happy to stay in the studio late with my favorite person doing my favorite thing (writing, singing) I love him so much.

Music and writing makes me happy because I am passionate about it. It’ll always be something that makes me happy because I love writing and singing!!! Music helped me SO much as a kid to cope in a healthy way and it’s one of the reasons I’m alive today so that’s why music makes me happy.

My mom is another person who makes me happy. She is so inspiring to me because of her strength and courage. She’s beautiful inside and out and I’m thankful I got to grow up with such an awesome momma. She always believes in me with whatever I do and she is like my best friend. I love my mom and she is also like a superhero to me.
