Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony McRae.
Hi Anthony, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m an actor who was put in the industry by his family. And so, I had the privilege to go through the industry without my choice, and then it became my choice as time went on. I wanted to continue to be in the industry because of Michael Jackson. But my work ethic and desire to create beautiful works of art are why I continue down the road of artistry today
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life is difficult, and so is the career I chose. I chose the road less traveled, and it is my duty to myself to achieve the things I put my mind to. No path is ever smooth, but I find enjoying the journey is what makes it all worth it. I didn’t always have complete support of my family. I didn’t always have the satisfaction of succeeding every time I tried. I still kept going. I’ve had many moments of grief and lost many people during my journey, and some tried and continue to try to maliciously hurt me. But they can’t stop magic, divinity, and greatness. The alchemy of the universe won’t allow it
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an actor, model, and a dancer. I have a work ethic like no other. I am fierce and tenacious, and I’ve always been told when I get on camera things change. I’m proud of my work with Eminem and the Venom movie project. And many other projects, of course. More to come, and I’ll let you watch and see
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Usually, they find you. And if you have the opportunity to pick your mentor, be honest and authentic, and allow for yourself to not know everything
