Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Anabel.
Hi Anna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
After graduating from the institute, I worked for seven years in show business, organizing concerts and large public events. Since my mother worked in the event industry all her life, I grew up in a festive atmosphere from childhood. Therefore, by the age of 30, I understood what exactly I want to do. I was developing a tender for a famous chain of hotels in our city, and my task was to come up with a concept and come up with a design after I came to my teacher with sparkling eyes and told me how it should be and where everything should still be. She asked me, “Wouldn’t you like to go study in design school?” So, the next day, I entered and graduated from the Ural School of Floristry and Design in Russia. And then there was a lot of study, practice, experience in international projects, and a lot of work. Then came the big projects that I began to implement for influential people. Over the 16 years of my creative activity, I traveled a lot and did events, and created design in different countries such as Austria, Africa, Greece, India, the United States, and Belgium. I traveled a lot with the team of an American colleague, who invited me to projects. In my city, I achieved much for myself, and I wanted to move on. I’ve been created large projects, even received several awards for “The best project of the year in the wedding industry”. After Covid and after my parents left, I decided to try my hand at a new country. Life is the most incredible adventure – and I love everything that is happening to me now. I like to feel new experience for me, this is my challenge to myself, which I live with pleasure!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, our life consists of ups and downs, everything is not always smooth, there are disappointments, there is pain, there are achievements, success, there is happiness. And you will never know how deeply lucky you are or how happy you are now until you have experienced defeats or failures. The most important thing is to never be afraid of anything, even if you fail, take a break, change direction a little and try again. There are days when sometimes blues, depression, apathy occur, or it’s called burnout – this often happens to creative people who devote a lot of energy to creating something, and this is normal. We need such days of reboot and days of filling. And if there is apathy or devastation, then you need to completely surrender to this feeling. If you just want to be lazy and do nothing, then you need to live this day just like that, not doing anything, but with pleasure. I really love recharging in nature, I love traveling somewhere, this is the best way for me to recharge. You can even go to a neighboring city for a change of scenery – I like to look at people, listen to a new place, and take a walk. Visiting interesting places, sometimes it can just be the beach or the ocean – it incredibly charges me and gives me strength and the desire to move on.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Over the 17 years of my independent creative career, I have been lucky enough to create dozens or maybe hundreds of beautiful projects. These were large and private events; I created more than a dozen beautiful weddings, I was the chief designer of the World Chess Championship 2021-2022, I was the chief designer of the World Ballroom Dancing Championship, I was a member of an international group of florist designers, I created beautiful weddings and the most various parties from private to public events. But today I like to increasingly create private conceptual events, which probably distinguishes me from others. I studied a lot with the best architects, Ivan designers, world designers. I like to integrate the acquired experience into today. I like to create unusual events, immersive events, so to speak, where each guest is immersed in a special environment, from where he is carried away by special emotions. I like it when the client trusts, and it’s worth a lot when the client says I don’t know what will happen, but make it cool. When there is trust, then creativity is limitless.)
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes, during COVID we have all had to transform our usual thinking to learn something new, so I thought about my school online. I began to conduct individual training in floristry, which became very popular. I started working more with flowers than with other projects. Surprisingly, during COVID, people bought flowers from my store 30 times more than usual. Because people need positive emotions, and flowers are really what can help you feel these emotions. There are now always flowers in my house, and this makes me incredibly happy, creating harmony and love for my home and my life.
