Hi Anahi, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hello readers , My name is Anahi bernal I am 27 and I am Latina , I started my business in 2021 while I was pregnant with my 3 child , I have a 8yr old boy and 5 year old girl and my third girl she’s now 3 .
I started the keratin industry “beauty industry” as a hobby I was currently working as a assistant in orthodontist. I never thought in a million years I would now be an entrepreneur and business owner , I am the first in my family to have my own business! Going back to how I got started this was a hobby of mine I always had a passion for doing make up and hair but never really saw it going anywhere , one day I went to get my keratin hair treatment done the girl that was doing my hair told me that she was doing trainings and she started explaining about how much her income was and the benefits of being your OWN BOSS. I sat in the chair and thought hm I should take her course after weeks of debating I take my first course via zoom I was getting trained from this expert that was in Mexico her work was amazing I took her course and then I took another advanced course couple months past I didn’t think any thing of it was getting booked all 7 days this was during Covid time , so I had to manage from working from home and going to work in my regular job, I started in my mom little laundry space inside my moms house I still till this day am very thankful for the clients who are still loyal and stayed with me during that time when I worked in that small space from my moms house and was so grateful to be booked ! I didn’t know that I can fall in love with something I loved doing being in the beauty industry is definitely hard at times and rewarding , after much time debating I signed up for cosmetology school and graduated June 2024 .

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth ride to be the first in your family to be a business owner and not having some one to lean on it’s very hard and frustrating and top it all to take care of a newborn and your other 2 kids it’s definitely challenging very thankful for my mom and husband’s with out there help I don’t think I would also be here I would have quit a long time ago . I had a lot of rough patches I didn’t have a great support system from friends and some family members and some people would tell me this wasn’t a job or am just waisting my time a few belittled me and thought I wouldn’t go any where in the beauty industry I had to put a lot of faith in myself because if I didn’t I REMEDYHAIRLA would not be here where it is right now , after being booked the first year 7days out of the week there was times where I had no clients or didn’t even book anymore the 2nd year was definitely the hardest for me had clients here and there but I never gave up on myself and kept pursuing my dreams. In February of 2024 I moved out of my home studio that my husband had made me I rented out my first suite and thankful I been having clients yes it’s slow downs at times but that does not stop me from doing what I love the most , I love the new group of girls that came into my life Alexis she’s truly god sent with out her help and her support I also would of quit she motivates me and pushes me as well and my family my husband my kids because I do this for my kids as well and for them to look up to there mom , my mom & dad my sis there truly the best. I have a lot to chatter about but I would take a lot to write so I give you guys my little glimpse .

I am in the beauty industry, I do it all from hair to brows lash Lift hair dying scalp treatments , I am mostly know for my keratin hair treatment & I am most proud my business I created in general from not knowing if this was even going to last to proving people wrong , what sets me aside from other I have to say my aura and my talent and knowledge I have grown over the years I also have to say my price list , I try to be as affordable as I can be and that has kept my clientele growing.
