Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber.
Hi Amber, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Amber, and I’m the owner of La Rosa Noir, a backdrop rental company based in Chino Hills, California.
La Rosa Noir began with a personal vision—| created my own flower wall for my wedding in 2023 after I couldn’t find the bold, all-black design I had in mind. Local vendors only offered traditional wedding colors, but I wanted something different. So l decided to build it myself.
After the wedding, I realized the uniqueness of the backdrop had potential beyond just my event. In October, I began renting it out as a tatement piece for Halloween parties
—and it was booked every weekend of the month. That’s when I knew there was a real demand for something bold and unconventional.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running a small business is never a smooth road—it’s a continuous learning experience. I’ve grown so much since starting La Rosa Noir, and I’m still learning every day. I’m committed to staying true to my creative vision while also adapting to the evolving trends and demands of the industry.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a backdrop rental company offering a curated collection of 12 floral wall designs and 4 rose heart arches in a variety of colors-perfect for birthdays, weddings, proposals, and other special events.
Our most popular and signature piece is our all-black rose wall, along with our exclusive black proposal setup.
These were created to stand out from the typical event decor and reflect a bold, modern aesthetic. We wanted to design something unique, something we genuinely think is cool-and we’re thrilled that our clients think so too.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
What started as a simple idea-one my husband initially thought was a ittle crazy-has grown into something we’re all proud of. He’s now my oiggest supporter, and our daughters also play a part, helping with setup and sharing in the journey. La Rosa Noir has become a true family business, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to build it together while continuing to grow and evolve.
