Today we’d like to introduce you to Alosha Dobrov.
Alosha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Great lead. Before we dive though maybe a better question is what makes one inspired to even read on someone’s “start.” Or what makes one’s history worth a read? Knowing my personal trauma’s power of making me a better artist and authentic human being, I’d come in confidently that that’s my contribution; helping other artists embrace their heavy histories as acting shields of amour and that authenticity is what allows their art to heal others. As I left San Francisco to humbly make Los Angeles my new home, I was warmly welcomed into a creative community that thrives on ambition, dedication, entrepreneurship and unparalleled creative prowess. I started with an idea and it grew into a reality. I’m here to make a creative music/visual business with this new community with the objective to contribute and grow.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t envy any artist that has had a smooth road, honestly. The best material comes out of the potholes, breakups, half-hearted states, etc. To keep with the first question’s energy one can learn all about my struggles through my music given, my first modus operandi is keep to my authenticity. I respectfully know I’m only ever on the precipice of my exciting journey but my excitement stems from the support I’ve already felt on so many fronts.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Appreciate the platform to speak folks. Like so many of us here in Los Angeles I’m a multi-generation and multimedia artist. I am a musician. My experience in the entertainment industry working at various Media Production companies really has inspired me to continue my dedication to my craft. I’m proud that I’ve discovered my voice – with the intention of creating music into existence to help ease the pain of normal life. Sets me apart from others? I’d rather hear that from someone who I inspire as opposed to assume that myself.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Certainly very introverted. Had a nice balance of sports and music. Different brain foods.
