Today we’d like to introduce you to Alena Mikhailova.
Hi Alena, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story started when I was a young lady who was acting like a queen with long hair. I was inspired by the beauty of the hair and it always gives me extra power, especially in my dancing career. I started doing hair for my girlfriends when I was around 16 years old and then I found my first hair extensions course. Hair extensions are addictive, I would say it with a smile. Since that time, my love for it is still alive!
Shortly speaking, I moved from St. Petersburg to LA with an attitude to become a celebrity-level artist and I become the main hair extensions educator at Beverly Hills ” Pretty Women School “. I certified a new “Boss Lady’s” and it was an amazing time working with them. During Covid-19 school was going through a hard time and we decided to close. I was very upset at the beginning, but I knew I can do even better. After a short period destiny introduced me to Guy Levi, who is an amazing hair artist. At this moment I am working with my friend Guy together and I am taking clients who understand the value and great service. I am very proud of where I am now and looking forward to new heights in my career. I know LA has a lot to offer.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Oh, it was a crazy, emotionally speaking road. I moved to LA alone without knowing anyone and my confidence put me through all of the challenges…I have a very strong personality and never agree on less, so that thing helps me with all my emotional and other challenges. I am on the way to something really amazing and the hair business is just a part of this journey.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am working specialing in hair extensions and the Keratin type is what I am most proud of. There are many techniques for hair extensions and from all of my experience K-tips and micro K-tips are my specializations and I do it with care for the healthcare hair of my clients!
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I would be grateful to work with other color specialists and people on sets as well. I am open to people who are passionate about creating the look!
