Today we’d like to introduce you to Alejandro Torres.
Hi Alejandro, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story starts many years ago as a little kid in Honduras. I was maybe 6 or 7 years old at the time, but I would sit in my backyard looking up at the airplanes fly by and think, “one day, I’ll be in the U.S”. I had all my uncles, aunts and cousins living in the US already, my mom & I were the only ones left back in Honduras. As crazy as that sounds, I manifested it a couple of years later because at the age of nine I moved to Long Beach, CA with my grandparents. I began to learn English & learn about all the entertainment I had no clue existed. Fast forward a couple of years later, being famous on YouTube was everyone’s dream at some point. They either did it and became an influencer/YouTuber or they just gave up on that dream and moved on with their lives.
That wasn’t the case for me. I never made it as a YouTuber/Influencer, etc but I never let go of that dream to have a following with people that are interested in me and what I do. Over the years I tried many different social media platforms and failed miserably at gaining the attention of the masses.
That was until TikTok came along and at the perfect timing might I add. I started sharing my life stories and the things I’ve lived through on my TikTok videos and people were intrigued with what I had to say. I started making a small community with people that actually cared about the events in my life.
It was something I enjoyed doing so making multiple videos a day came easy to me. Fast forward to 2022, I have over 26,000 followers and I’m grateful every day that I’m living one of my biggest dreams thanks to the incredible people that like, watch & comment on my videos.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Believe it or not, my biggest struggle, from time to time are the days where I have no idea for a video. I usually take a day or two off from posting and then a ton of ideas come in rushing to the point where I have a whole week’s worth of ideas for content.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a full-on content creator on TikTok. People know me as that one dude with the mini mic that tells you random stories haha.
What I’m most proud is my self-growth and the consistency of my work. I still think of myself as a very shy person but the fact that I’m putting myself out on the internet for thousands of people to see shows I’ve changed. Besides that, how committed I’ve been to making videos for three years now.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was a very shy and timid kid. I wouldn’t believe myself if I were to tell that shy kid from Honduras that I make videos for thousands of people to see. I always had a sense of adventure and being creative but never thought I would take it to this level.
